Does anyone know if this has been announced to be covered by either premier sports or Wigan TV yet? Hoping to get this early morning but was wondering if anything's been announced?

I saw a mention that wigan tv were looking into it but id be suprised if it was live, maybe delayed

Sky NZ lead commentator Andrew Voss Tweeted to the Fans " Fire up " Sky are covering the Warriors V Warriors clash among other NZ Warriors preseason Fixtures ( Voss may well be the lead NZ Commentator for the NRL nines by the look of things ).

I was about to post that Mt Smart. I think Sky Nz won't be bothered about sharing there feed either as its not likely going to cause an affect on attendance.

It'll be great if they can get this to work but after the Leigh game i'm still dubious and might end up watching it on delay anyway.

Hope it does work because I'll be asking work if I can do a later shift to try and watch it.

The problem with the Leigh Match seemed to be at source within the ground. This looks like it'll be the feed from Sky Sport in New Zealand sent via satellite, so it should work, as long as the stream can deal with the numbers viewing.

I'll be in work at 6:30 so its perfect timing for me!

Is it good value for money this Wigan TV or not?

No one can give you a definitive answer on that without knowing what you are looking for out of it.

So I wonder if they have done a sizing exercise based on the number of Wigan TV subscribers and the bandwidth available?

This kind of thing is not hard so matching the bit rate required to the video resolution that can be sent with the likely demand should dictate what kind of resolution they offer.

Stupid fixture for you before a World club challenge match.

You're only hope is NZ put out there juniors otherwise you will get beaten comfortably and will get bashed about by a big physical NZ side.

After watching Wigan last week against Hudds, a match in which Wigan had a player who is now considered to be Wigan's most influential player(Lockers) missing out and another senior player (Micky Mac) taking part in what could only be considered as being a 5 min fitness test during the match, you can only fear the worst.

I now think that you can say that the two mentioned players will not play on Wednesday, they will be in cotton wool for the Roosters match, which means the rest of the squad will be turning out against a big physical NZ Warriors side 5/6 days after the Hudds match.
Wigan could suddenly be faced with the chances of more players getting knocked about 9/10 days before playing the team who are considered to be the best in the world.

What implications this could have on the early part of the season once they get back could be enormous it could make them or break them.

Wigan I believe have taken 26 players. I would imagine that there will be unlimited subs in the Auckland game, so I wouldn't read anything into it at all. Also Auckland Warriors won't play any of their players who are playing in the 9's tournament next weekend.

I had forgotten about the 9's, it could be interesting to see some of the younger Wigan players having game time against their Southern Hemisphere counterparts.
