Anyone know anything about the rumours that Premier Sports will be included in the XL TV package on Virgin for the duration of the RLWC? I believe a group of MPs have been pushing for it to happen?

There's big talk that it's free for a month from tomorrow on either channel 531 or 551, unless you're on a dodgy scanner box from some computer fair...

I hope you're right. I complained to Virgin recently and got a standard response...

I'm led to believe that those scanner boxes from computer fairs stopped working about 2 years ago.

Read on Twitter that Virgin have denied it is happening. It will be a shame if us Virgin customers have no way of watching the games covered by PS

After Setanta collapsed Virgin wanted to put Premier on their XL package but Premier wanted to be a pay per view channel on Virgin and they fell out big time after that .

Keep an eye open for 100 years of British Rugby League. It was on on Wednesday and will probably be repeated at some stage.

I'm guessing it's free for the duration of the world cup, I just have the free virgin package and it's on there. Pay for the web player anyway but could have been a cheap skate and cancelled

I beleive it was the other way round. PS wanted to go in the XL package, but VM offred them a pay per view deal.

I'd herad that PS is free on all packages until 25 Nov and then becomes part of the XL package

I don't know who is responsible for getting this sorted out and with such superb timing but I think I love them!

All you need to know is that by the end of this world cup the channel will have shown 268 rugby league matches this season. Sky will have given us 71 and BBC 12 in comparison.
