It was mentioned on Sky and it will probably cop Wellens a telling off from the RFL (as it will Leeds). There is nothing more too it than that.

I am sure if a Wigan player had done it to Saints there would be comments about it regardless of the result.

what i think happened was richards kicked the drop goal then before saints took the kick off wellens poured water over the ball to make it harder to handle and from the very first hit up crosby dropped the ball. blatant cheating from a guy i've lost a lot of respect for, but if thats what they've been reduced to then its sad for them.

As a neutral i found it pretty funny, totally harmless stuff. Given the RFL's usual priorities im sure it will get him a ban whilst Taylor walks free for a cheap shot on a small lad with his back half turned.
