| Good luck to him. A good squad player and hopefully releasing him will enable us to secure Hansen.

| Been a long time coming I guess. 80 minute player, something worth more to other teams now as we have quite a few. Good luck to him, never did much wrong - just sadly for him outshone by the likes of Farrell.

| Disappointed to see him go, but gives more playing time to the likes of Lloyd & Burke, who both have more potential IMO.

| Back in the 1980s & 90s I was absolutely convinced that somewhere in Wigan there was a factory assembling back row forwards (Cassidy, Gildart, Farrell, Clarke, Wane, O'Loughlin, Betts). That factory is obviously thriving at the moment and Tuson is just unlucky that he's not getting the game time he desires and that seems to be his reason fr leaving. Wakefield may have offered him more per year but Wigan offered him 3 years so I don't think it's solely a money decision.
If I'm correct then good on him, it reminds me of a certain Gareth Ells who put opportunity before money and it didn't serve him too badly.
I rate Tuson very highly and he's bound to come to Wakefield as a very accomplished and complete player because he's been developed by the best youth pathway in Rugby League.
If you've got a young half back that's not getting in you can send him our way if you like, maybe Ryan Hampshire as he's a Wakefield lad anyway.

As others have mentioned, if Tuson has been fit, he's been in SW's 17.
The coaching staff obviously wanted to keep him on but with Hughes, Burke and Lloyd coming through alongside Farrell and Hansen (who is hopefully staying put) I think we'll be ok without him.

| No disrespect, but choosing to go the NRL (and making it) and choosing to go to Wakefield are slightly different choices. If Tuson had decided to go it alone and try to get a gig in Australia, then that would be a brave move. This seems a little 'safe' on his part but completely understandable.

| By game time I mean minutes on the pitch
By opportunity I mean playing 80 minutes on a regular basis and developing himself, the safe option might have been staying at Wigan but he's chosen to Test himself by going to a lower club where he'll be a senior player.
Ellis left Wakefield for Leeds not the NRL but I understand your point.

| Good luck to him at Wakefield. Can't say I rate him too highly. He's the sort of grafter that every team needs but that practically every team can find. He has his plus points - he reads the game well in attack and can find himself in the right position at the right time. Based on performance though he's shown nothing outstanding that makes me think we will miss him when he goes.
Burke is a better player, it's just important not to throw him in at the deep end. Hughes has more potential and will hopefully get more of an opportunity with Tuson going.

| Makes sense for Tuson really. As nice of a bloke as he is it's not that harsh to say he's not as good as Hansen or Farrell. Add on top of that Hughes, Burke & Lloyd and we've got enough back up as well.
His commitment, work rate and desire means that he's got a big role to play at Wakefield and he'll be an excellent 80 min player along side the very underrated Kirmond.
I really hope this move leads to more game time for Hughes at 2nd row as he could be a very good player for us there.
