What's going on with him at all? Is he fit? Noticed he didn't play in the U20's this week. Hardly played for the first team all year. Seems Goulding and Marsh are ahead of him if a back gets injured. I'd imagine he's on a fair wage so its quite annoying.

Add that Fielden and Gleeson haven't featured all year and that's a fair chunk of the cap we've been playing without all season.

Can we get rid of Roberts next season or are we stuck with him for another year? Can't afford to carry players in a salary cap sport.

Maybe so, but we didn't replace his salary for most of the year. Then, I presume Hock and Cross were signed using that cap space. Theyv'e added next to nothing though (can't blame Cross for that).

Can't believe people having a go! He was being lined up for man of steel until he got injured. Spoke to him Saturday and he told me he had another year. Hope he gets another go next year. A victim of circumstances if you ask me. Good luck for next season Amos!

Roberts was sublime for a third of our season last year - a cert for MOS, had he not smashed his leg into the posts then we'd probably be sat at the top of the league right now having enjoyed a week off. But hey ho.

Can't beleive the short memoies of some people.
Amos was the second coming as he riped Super League to bits for us last year. Since then, his knee that he damaged badly whilst wearing OUR shirt, has given him many problems until they found what the underlying cause was, a torn meniscus.
He is well on the mend and will be as exciting a player to watch if the new coach gives him a chance next season.

I would pick him above Goulding any day and perhaps give him a run in the halves as he used to do down under. May just be what we need.

spotted Amos and Finchy in orrell today,didn't appear to be limping or like a man who was going in for an operation infact the way he ran back to finchy's car I'd play him at the weekend.
for the record the people slagging him off,have you forgotten the way he was playing before he got injured wearing our shirt,the guy was awesome,if he can get back to anywhere near that we need to keep hold

A certain little word keeps cropping up when people are discussing Roberts. It's a word that winners never use. It has 2 letters, begins with i and ends with f.

alot of people used the same word when talking about pat richards in the 1st season,now they rightly put his head on a superman costume. some people can be having a rough time one minute and turn into supermen the next,its all part of the sport would we be giving pat the same grief if he hadn't returned from injury so well

There is nothing I would love more than to see Amos fully fit and playing like THAT again for Wigan. It would be better than any signing we could make.
