Sean O'Loughlin has confirmed he has been granted a Testimonial by the RFL.

He is nearing the end of his 10th season in the first team having made his debut in 2002.

Well deserved to.

It should be Saints in all honesty. I think Wire would be a good option but Saints are our biggest rivals.

Lads like Wood and Clarke choose Wigan as their opposition when we played Wire but they're Wigan lads. Lockers is Wigan through and through so it's got to be Saints.

Would be great if we could get Saints, would it have to be at their new ground though? Orrell is not big enough for a Wigan v Saints friendly.

At a time when testimonials are passed around like cheap whores, its great to see someone who actually deserves it for showing loyalty to the club he clearly loves and has given such great service to.

Absolutely. He's already in my eyes a Wigan legend as he has given his all for this club during many horrible years. Thankfully he's now finally been rewarded with trophies. A true professional who has been consistently top class for years. Endured a lot of unfair flak about being Wigan's captain but has never let it get to him. Class act

To get a 12 month testimonial you have to have served ten years with one club.

It is a long time that a Wigan player has had a Testimonial so well done to Sean O'Loughlin I hope it goes well. Is he sharing it with a charity?

THERE'S NORMALLY A CHARITY INVOLVED SOMEWHERE (oops caps lock). Most of them seem to do a testimonial shirt too. It would be good if he paid homage to his roots and did a St Pats style one in all black.
