heard from a very good source to day that benny westwood and brett hodgson are gone for the season they will miss them both big time

Big losses if true but they've got a little depth; am sure they'll cope.

Their injuries seem to be coming at the wrong time. They like ourselves had been pretty lucky for the majority of this season but since the weeks leading up to our cup game against them things have turned on that front.

Hopefully both players will be fine especially Westwood who England could do with.

Starting to show now, as I predicted, what an average age team of 30+ would start to happen.

2 of the injured players was mid twenties and 1 was still a teenager , its a tough contact sport injuries can and do happen to every aged player

Pretty sure over the last few weeks the average age has been around 27.

I expected Hodgson to miss some games this season, he was troubled by leg injuries at the Giants. That was the risk in signing him; but going off the season so far the benefits have out weighed that risk. If he does miss the end of season and play offs there will be fans questioning the signing.

Surely nobody's wishing injuries on anyone? I was sad to hear about Ben Cross - good or bad the bloke's had a horrible time since coming to England.

Back OT, i think wire will be fine. Two very good players missing though, with one (Westwood) arguably in the form of his life.

Big loss if true. This said, the fullback had an absolute nightmare in the last game with Wigan.

Westwood is a machine, he even tried 'running it off', i'm sure he'll be back for the playoffs, not one Wire fan will question Hodgsons signing regardless of age, off the polls on the Wire board so far he's our 2nd best player of the season behind M.Monaghan and has a 'suspected' Quad strain, couple of weeks off he'll be fine.

Grix again should be back soon but no one outside of the HJ seems to rate him so oppo fans won't be tub thumping about that, Evans is only (for this season) a bit part player.

Agree about Hodgson, I think he was exactly what Wire needed and a good signing, his class has shown this year for sure. Grix has played well this season and is underrated and I wouldn't like to be the one telling Westwood he was missing a playoff game!

even if this is true they still have players like monaghan x2, king, briers, & bridge who can destroy teams.

Dont forget that other bloke, you know who, little scrum half, they got him from Salford, cost a bl**dy fortune, not done much, has relatives that play union, got thin legs, poor tackler, disappears a lot in big games, ohh, whats his name, its on the tip of my tongue............................................sod it, cant remember.
