| Same as he was, bit lazy in defence but I think thats due to lack of match fitness.
After a pre season he will be back to his best next year, don't get me wrong he has slotted straight back in well enough.

| Not up to speed just yet. Needs to be used sparingly in the big games, maybe 20-30 mins (Saints, Wire away, hopefully CC final) and then have longer spells in the remaining 3 home games (around an hour) to give him a chance to be fully match fit for the playoffs.

| Personally think he's struggled a little bit. I want him to succeed with all the will in the world...
Can't wait for next season with him tbh

| He seems to be doing fine in to attack but hes obviously not up to speed in defence, that will come with more game time. He will struggle against strong attacking teams like warrington and saints (i wouldnt play him in the semi) but at this stage in time he is killing it against the weaker teams & hes only going to get better with more game time.
Cant wait to see him next year with a full pre-season and decent amount of games under his belt.

Not if you expected to see the same player he was when he last played for Wigan because at the moment he is way off.
I think it will take Hock quite some time to re-adjust to playing rugby league again and secondly playing within a brand new team under Maguire.
Whilst we have seem glimpses of what he can do he doesnt yet look fully match fit to me but i think we will see a big improvement next season.

| Right question, wrong time. This time next year we'll know if Gaz Hock has been able to get back to where he was. For now though, a decent enough comeback after two years in isolation.

| like i said a few times he should have been loaned out for the rest of the season so he could have got match fitness and made all the mistakes elsewhere so it wouldn't interfere with our defence of the title

| Gaz Hock is a world class player.
He is only short of match fitness and so will improve game on game.
After pre-season training he will be back to his best for 2012.

| He's been away from the game for two years and he's still finding his feet and fitness but IMO he looks awful at the moment from what I've seen. I'm not saying he won't get back to what he was but at the moment he looks way off the pace.
Over the last two years, I've read on here that hock has gone massive and will be prop. He has gone bigger and he looks worse for it. He looks sluggish and slow and IMO this extra size isn't good for him. I also read how fit he is due to having a personal trainer, don't forget it wasn't a injury that's kept him from training or has prevented him getting back in to it. He don't look like he's done much training to be honest.
Like I say, being out for two years is tough and after a good ore season he'll be a lot better but I doubt we will ever see the gaz hock of old.

| He's struggling in defence still, and obviously with match fitness, but really not that far away, I don't think. As someone else said, a bit to soon to risk against the top teams, but already impressing otherwise - remember the Wakey game?

| With our run in, having him in the squad allows us to rest players like H and Hoff, and come in and be devastating against teams like trinity, cru or salford.
That is going to be key, as the big games come thick and fast and we have to rotate to maintain our push in the hunt for 3 trophies.
In that respect hes achieved all that [should have been expected of him this season.
The same applies to Cross, Marsh and Faz.

| He's come back in after 2 years away, so I'd say he's performing to expectations. Trouble is, the old GH rarely played as expected. It was either cover your eyes bad or jaw droppingly brilliant. Providing we reach Wembley or the GF with fully fit squads, it'll be very interesting to see who MM picks for the bench.

| Hock can do what he as always done; bust the line and make an off load. I have never thought of him as a tackling machine his game stands out for offence not defence.

| I'd pick Farrell ahead of him for the last bench spot on Saturday and give him a game for the u20's. It's a close call with Faz because he himself had a stinker on Friday but he's got a great work ethic and it would boost his confidence to be picked in this game.
I'd play Hock from the start of most remaining league games to try and get him match fit for a crack at the play offs but he doesn't look ready for a challenge cup semi final derby just yet.

Farrell looks to be rusty through lack of first team action, he struggled in the first half against Cas and the other players were not giving him the ball were he is most effective. I would go with Farrell over Hock for the semi

| Hansen and Hoffman have to be on the pitch for as long as possible imo, maybe even the full 80? And if Hansen is spelled for either Hock/Farrell then Hoffman should switch to the right side as he is a stronger defender alongside Deacon, Joel and Charnley.

Better to spell players if possible. SR work hard especially in defense, tiredness leads to errors.
