Sam must be a Wigan all time great now. Does something special every single game.

i just thank god he plays for wigan. reminds me so much of ellery every time he gets the ball you know he can do something out of this world . a really special talent is this young man sam

Not an all time great yet but he is certainly one of the most talented players to pull on the cherry and white.

An outstanding player, plenty of years ahead of him, and plenty of honours no doubt along the way. The only reason opposition fans boo him is because they wish he played for their team.

Never fails to impress on the pitch. If I had a criticism of him it would be that he at times throws himself to the floor rather than take the tackle but other than that, almost the complete player.

Hes 60% of the player he will be in 3 years time hes still improving, if opposition fans hate him now i have no idea what they will be thinking in a few years time

He is only going to get better with experience.

I agree, he's a a great modern player who will go on to be one of the all time greats.

If he carries on having the impact he does on games and finishes his career at Wigan then I would say he would be a legend and up there among the best ever Wigan and British players.

IMO he will play at 1 until he loses a bit of pace coming up to age 30 and move to 6 then 7 before he retires.

If he does all that for Wigan he will be a Wigan legend without a doubt, he'll have a few medals too!

MOS by a mile for me , best prospect in our game for sure and on this seasons form hes the best player in SL, very similar to John Woods with his step and pace.

my only doubt about him is that hes playing at full back and I think in a test game the Aussies would terrorise him and make him look like a flat track bully , i think he would be at his best at halfback and possibly taking more runs from acting half.

Your now going to get a wire fan as well praising him. Two fantastic tries last night for different reasons. He is one of the most elusive runners i've ever
seen and his try last night and against us last week was breathtaking. I don't think even the most cynical or biased fans would begrudge Sam Tomkins
the MOS and probably look forward to watching him play anytime he's not playing against your own side.

Sam isnt even our best player
Jonny Lomax is as good, if not better than him.
Foster, Hardaker, Jones-Bishop are all as talented as Sam.

Lots of praise for Sam on our board (Leigh) as well, a truely great talent.

Sometimes a player never gets better.

However I think Sam T is the best player I have seen at Wigan excepting Ellery Hanley who had such an immense presence. For ability Sam is as good as ever seen and I just think he needs to maintain this standard. If he does will be in 3 or 4 years up with Ellery.

Being serious Wigan fans need to realise and understand that we are seeing here a world class player not just from now but taking in previous greats. just appreciate it as things can change so quickly. Sam Tomkins is the best I have seen.

Look all this bumming him up really gets on my t!ts.

He's overrated, doesn't really come up with anything special and has no pace. He won't be able to hold his place down come the end of the season the way he's going.

With that in mind, we will gladly take him off your hands for our Superleague return for a miniscule fee - I've got some shrapnel in my pocket after last night which should just about cover it.

Just that we aint as good as Saints because theyve reached 11 semi finals in a row in the Challenge Cup... I challenged the 8 in a row in Challenge cup finals? or the 19 leagues?
