No, it was being considered but we've decided against it. Off to Headingley next Tuesday though for the first of two midweek matchnights in a row - it'll be like old times!

The Wigan squad is: Hughes, Russel, Marsh, Goulding, King, Murphy, Powell, Leatherbarrow, Crosby, Carberry, L Tomkins, Farrel and Hock.

Cumbria 6 - 12 Wigan. Wigan scored three tries to one, but failed to convert any of them.

Lot of errors by our lot. But good defense from the Cumbria team by all accounts.

The name Leatherbarrow rings a bell but not seen him in the u20's reports. Wasn't he the lad who Wires were bleating about pinching from under our noses a couple of years back? Any good?

The final is next Tuesday, the day before we play Cas, so we may not field a strong side, but we were good enough last week without the more experienced players.

Farrell has not been playing anyway. Hock might not be in the team for Cas, we could play the same team as tonight.

With Hock and Farrell playing tonight, looks like Tuson has got the bench spot on Friday.

As Conroy says, Hock needs as much gametime as he can to get match fit so I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the bench on Friday.

At Widnes, Huddersfield lost to the Police again and had a man sent off in the process!
