Cant beleive M Monaghan has missed out, behind James Roby hes the best hooker in the league.

Better than Roby for me, a much better passing and kicking game. I accept that they are two different styles of hooker though.

England have called up Michael McIlorum for Friday's match against the Exiles. The Wigan hooker replaces the injured James Roby.

But why don't they drop the MM weekend and have this game on a weekend on its own. Instead of the clubs who bring through homegrown talent being punished by having to make up the talent for a league fixture 48 hours later.

I think luckily for us Castleford are in poor form anyway and could be missing Rangi Chase, but I'd rather none of our players played in this game and concentrated on the league game. England will get beaten anyway and made to look inept once again!

Excellent honour for Mike McIlorum though. Despite his recent poor form, he has improved his game considerably in the last couple of years. His defence is ferocious. Just like to see him become more of a threat in attack. At 23 Wigan will no doubt persist with him.

i cant see there being a problem with the players backing up its just like Easter i think this idea is a really good concept i know how much i love S.O.O and this has the potential to be just as good def better than playing France or Wales no disrespect to thouse teams but if England are to improve we need tough games like this.

i understand why people want it as a stand alone fixture but for me this on friday night and cas on sunday with playing on a saturday will be one very good weekend of rugby league

I don't think the game needs a weekend made free to acommodate it, just put it on Wednesday. Those of us on this side of the mound have a better chance of getting to Headingley for 8pm. Plus, it gives greater recuperation time.
