| Saw Amos at the U'20s game yesterday and I must say how depressed he looked. Had the chance to speak to him and he didn't look interested at all in what's going on in the reserve grade.
What do you think should be done with him?
I believe he should be given another chance but with players performing well it looks unlikely that he will break into the first team unless we have a bad spell of injuries. Is it time he left in order to play first team footy?

| Nothing needs to be done with him. It's all up to him and how much he wants it. If he wants to play first team again he'll have to get his head down in the 20's and work hard and if he doesn't he won't get a chance.
It seems as simple as that.

| I think a short term loan deal might do him the world of good as he isn't going to benefit that much from playing in the under 20's. The only problem with that is I think there's a one month limit where a player cannot be recalled and so if he was needed in that time then Wigan wouldn't be able to recall him.
He could certainly do with getting some game time at Super League level, but I don't understand calls for him to be brought back into the first team and given another chance. He may well be a confidence player but you can't just drop players who are performing very well to give an extended run to a player who hasn't managed to earn his place. He's got to earn his place back and then work hard enough to stay there.

I don't think that players numbered 1 - 20 in the squad can go out on dual contract, is this correct?

Wouldnt surprise me tbh, dont really see where his next chance is coming from. Not been to any of the u20s games hes played in but from what people have been saying on here hes hardly been pulling up trees for them so why would madge put him back in with Sam playing out of his skin at 1 and Charnley seems to have nailed down the RW position for now.

His chance isn't coming, at least until Amos takes it, and his body language seems to suggest it isn't coming soon.

Such a shame, I know everybody pre-season was wanting him to come back this season and replicate his pre-injury purple patch from 2010 but its never really looked like happening.

| Send him out on dual registration to the Widnes Warriors to gain some experience, having dual reg players has worked well for us. Its not like he won't know anyone down at Widnes.

I honestly believe this would be best for all concerned.
Charnley deserves to keep his place on the wing. The club deserve all the players to be pulling together and wanting to be the best they can be, something that Amos doesnt seem to want at the moment.
I also think the club need the cap/quote space to bring in the best available players. Amos currently doesnt fit this criteria. with Carmont leaving, as well as the possibility of Pryce, we would have a massive chunk of cap space to bring in the right player to replace Carmont.

Especially if Hoffman leaves too, which looks to be the case after IL's comments at the FF.

| We have to look at the future too. We have a quality academy system coming through and competition will get even tougher with the likes of Matt Russell and Ryan King progressing through the ranks.
Realistically it doesn't look like he will get his squad back so it looks like it's time he left.

| Four players to leave/retire at the end of the season.
Hoffman
Coley
Deacon
Carmont
Possibly leaving
Roberts
Pryce
That should free up cap/quota space.

No chance, outside chance he may play on another season for Wigan if not he's moving into coaching at Wigan thats one of the main reasons for him wanting to move here in the first place.

| Big shame as he is a massive talent as proved at the start of last season, it further shows that signing a well known Aussie isn't always the best option.

| If hes not going to play its a big chunk of cap wasted. Try and ship him back Oz if theres a club that would take him. On his day hes unplayable but these days just unplayed.

remainder of the season. Face does not fit with Maguire.'"

| How long has he left on his deal. I remember it was a bit of a coup to get him over early and on such a long deal.
I can't see anybody matching his current salary if he's under contract still.

His deal ends next year.
I dont want him to go. It would be just our luck for him to bugger off to somewhere like Saints and reproduce the amazing form he was in at the beginning of last year. If he was to go, I would hope it would be to the NRL because I wouldnt be able to stand him producing that form for someone else in Super League.
