I don't quite know whether to be disappointed that we fell asleep for a while seciond half, or satisfied with a stroll in the park. On one hand, seems sensible to take it easy after a tough Easter weekend, on the other it was a perfect chance lost to boost our points diff.

As to the game itself, well it was the Sam show, yet again, though the "supporting cast" looked a lot sharper than against Wakey...most of the time.

Best game I've seen from Lima so far, and Finch continues to gradually improve, though still gives too many hospital passes. Goulding did OK, and if the Hoff injury is serious he may keep his place to allow Joel back into the 2nd row.

Look to be a few players carrying knocks - next week should be a good opportunity to rest them.

I was annoyed with some of the Wigan players who seemed more intent on believing the hype coming from the Wigan speccies.... it started with Mossop Mossop give us a wave.... he did, Finch was lapping it up, smiling and then Sam turned round and gestured why werent we singing to him.

Then we went to sleep totally and let them in for their 3 tries as our fans kept singing for a wave......

Now it doesnt really matter away at Cru but the players need to get more disciplined.

I noted that Paul Deacon ignored the fans and got roundly boo-ed, well to him I say : Well done Paul, true professional.

Time and a place to take adulation, on the field isnt it.

Overall though very happy and excellent turn out from Wigan fans as ever.

I don't think shipping points had anything to do with the players waving to the fans. Crusaders had the wind advantage in that second half and started throwing the ball around more and stretching our defence and that's the reason they scored the points, as opposed to them giving the fans a wave.

Always been one for not liking the players milking the singing etc.
Feka used to spend more time waving in warms ups than burning calories. Whoops, I've called lovechild fatty whos name we still sing! Sinful me...

I agree with you about the waving, but I still think the brief Crusaders revival had more to do with us easing off than with them improving, or the wind.

they were having a good time the game was already in the bag and they waved they still concentrated on the game. if the referee is makin some of them decisions and the fact that it was very warm and theyve already two games then sometimes were goin to let try's in just lighten up a bit

Unbelievable.

I really think after seeing Lima today that his mobility levels for a prop will really benefit us during the dry months ahead. He may not make the barnstorming runs some expected, but his consistent hard working attitude is just what you need in these summer months ahead.

Mossop surely must be pushing for England spot against the Exiles.

Again Finch showed some lovely touches, but I really wish the players around him would anticipate the flat ball that Brett inevitably throws from time to time.
