The short turnaround won't have helped us. It would have been difficult for us to look good after Sunday's effort in the WCC so I'd have taken any sort of win tonight. No game now til a week on Sunday so a chance rest up a few weary bodies will be taken I'm sure

Was disappointed with our performance tonight.

Expectd a tough game but to be honest Salford were terrible tonight the only thing that kept them in the game was their kicking game, and a bit of magic from Luke Patten.

Our kicking game is just simply crap, needs to be sorted out. And our goal line defence was poor, but not too worried about that because its usually excellent and after a hard week its inevitable that we would let in some soft trys.

Best thing for me about the match was Stefan Marsh, ive been his biggest critic for his first team performances so far but today he really showed what he could do, hes got great speed. And with all the rumours we may be seeing alot more of him.

Hopefully the bad performance today was down to everything thats allegedly going on and the short turn around from such a brutal encounter last week. A nice week or so till the next game will do us the world of good.

ermmm i wouldnt say we were terrible!! i thought u looked rather average after a hard game last week and we gave u a good run for your money!if you had have seen us against saints 2 weeks back ..then that was TERRIBLE!!..bit of credit please

I was going to say the opposite. I think he looks like he's got a lot of work to do to make it at this level. He just seems to slip off tackles far too easily and never passes the ball. The only time he looked dangerous was when he just had to keep hold of the ball and sprint.

Any win this week was going to be acceptable after last weeks efforts. I am quite happy with the result but a bit worried about the penalty count against us yet again.

Yeh we werent brilliant to be fair, but after only a 5 day turnaround from the WCC and a tough game tonight it's good to come away with the 2 points without playing champagne stuff. Got 9 days now to get things right for the 1st home game against Hull.

Have to say I gree with Cherry.Pie...... thought Marsh didnt have a good time at all tonight.

Yes he has speed, but he made some poor errors in defence.

marsh had a couple of breaks down your right with some exceptional bursts of speed,one to watch deffo!

No credit from me except for Rachford and Patten. You droppped the ball about 90% of the time when you had a good opportunity. A stronger team would have beaten us well tonight, us on top form would have blown you off the park completely. I was much more impressed with you last year than I was tonight.

Matty Smith was good I thought and caused us problems.

Couldnt make the game tonight but delighted with the win, I wasnt really bothered how we performed tonight as long as we got the two points. Thats the main thing, now bring on Hull!

Typical Wiganer never give anyone any credit, yes we might of dropped 90% of the ball tonight but considering your Champions of Super League and have a much better squad than us you wouldn't expect anything less than a win for Wigan. But imagine if we didn’t bomb our chances and concede those sloppy tries we probably would of come close to winning the game because in my point of view Wigan didn't play like a champion side tonight and haven’t done so far this season, and you forget we have near enough a complete new team this year 11 went out 8 came in, give us time to gel and then let’s see what we can do.

You just proved my point exactly. I thought Wigan were bad tonight, and Salford should have beaten them if they were at the races. But luckily you were even worse than us!
