No doubt Leigh being mentioned is due to the HJ not having any undersoil heating whereas LSV does.

On a more important note, its a good final pre season game ahead of the opener in Cardiff.

That is one factor but the main factor, I was told, is that they have been doing pitch work at the HJ and the recent weather delayed them somewhat - so they are not sure if it'll be ready for the proposed date. I guess thats why the announcement of the game is delayed as well.

The RFL should create a chairty shield event. CC winnners v GF winners to kick of the season is a great idea IMO. It works in football and I think it could get a decent crowd.

They used to have one between the late 80s/early 90s. They played them outside the heartlands. For a few years it was on the Isle of Man, whilst other venues included Anfield, Gateshead, Swansea and Dublin.
