I've had the misfortune of tearing my ACL and having to hang my boots up as a result. I hate to see any serious injuries, and especially don't like knee ones!

Thankfully the surgery and after care these days are excellent.

You dont need to concern yourself with this my pit village friend. Soon back to the National leagues when the franchise goes belly up next year. Will be a shame though.......No really!

Last night i thought "Gazza Mk2".

I cant stand the little toe rag and last night (for a fleeting momment), i thought he had got what he deserved.

But after seeing "8 months" on the headline, my heart sunk.

Chin up danny lad, fingers crossed you will be winding me up big style early next season.

Bad news for England, he's been in great form. An unsavoury incident all round.

In the heat of the battle last night many Wigan fans would have been hoping for him to be injured like this, but Wigan fans and the rugby league community, do not wish injuries on other players. I hope he recovers fully, as he is a star of our game, and we need stars such as Danny McGuire gracing Super League.

Wouldn't have got injured if he wasn't cheating by holding George Carmont back and if he wouldn't have held him back I reckon we would have scored whether it have been George all the way or if he passed it back to Pat.

On another note I wish him all the best and hope he recovers, it is a loss for England as he has been in good form but I wish he would cut out the cheating and concentrate on playing rugby.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not happy about it; when I said it's tough for him, I meant it. Not sure how to summon up any more sympathy for the lad though when he chucked himself into a reckless, illegal tackle and ended up injured.

Genuinely, I hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.

Could not put this any better. im rather gutted hes injured as i hope we go to Leeds next week, but there is 1% of me thinking acutlly he deliberately cheated caused their coach to make an allegation againt our player. Sorry he got what was coming. For a player like Peacock i really feel sorry for him but Maguire resorted to cheating and paid a massive price for it.

I don't think any person with half a brain would really wish an 8-month stint out of action on him. In the heat of the moment last night I probably wasn't the only one who hoped his leg had actually fallen off but, being realistic, being out for just a week or two to teach him a lesson would suffice. 8 months must be heartbreaking.

He injured himself committing an illegal tackle off the ball. I do have sympathy but nothing else to be said.

I've watched it a few times and it looks like it went before he grabbed at carmont
