I know it's common knowledge but would just like to be 100% sure....

I think it will definitely be Wigan v Hull. Leeds have no chance at Hull withthat pack.

BUT! Would it be an easier route to the final for Hull or Leeds to finish 5th? I don't think either of those teams would want to come to Wigan.

But with a almost certain giants win, they will finish 6th and thats KR. That ain't an easy tie either!

And...if they won that, they would then have to play away at a team from the top 4.
And...if they won that they woud again have to go and play away at a team from the top 4.
And...if they won that they would have to play Wigan in the final.

I would really like us to play Hull, this would mean that Leeds would finish 6th and the loser of Wire and Saints would have to play them, this could mean one of them could go out. If Saints beat wire (which normally happens) wire could get a backlash from Leeds.

I'd be happy to take odemwingie's outcome. Anything that'll make it difficult for wire will do me.

Originally I wanted to play Leeds for a huge home game and to see a Hull derby in the play-offs but we must think what is best for Wigan later in the play-offs.

Exactly, the playoffs this year have much more of a glamour feel about them than last year IMO.

This year we could end up with

Wigan v Leeds
Saints v Wire
Hull FC v Hull KR
Huddersfield v Crusaders

Some very, very attractive games in there compared to last year's reasonably predictable games.

With the Bailey incident being on report. Leeds could be in real trouble in the forwards come next week if Bailey has a case to answer for his elbowing antics in the tackle which Radford took exception to... although personally I think he wasnt meaning it, just trying to give himself momentum to get up. A warning at worst for mine but you never know.

Bailey is a lunatic but Radford had only himself to blame to be honest. His first punch did the damage and Bailey had the ball in his hand with no chance to defend himself. Can't really argue with a straight red given the damage he did and Bailey was hardly going to not react was he? Maybe Radford will think twice next time before throwing a needless and cowardly punch especially since it probably cost his side a lifeline in the playoffs.
