Just like to say, I thought the club handled it very well tonight. I think the right balance was struck between allowing the fans to celebrate the success without going over the top. Madge is clearly focussed on Old Trafford and that is clearly the right attitude to have.

I agree, it was really enjoyable without being OTT. I loved it.

I don't care what people say, I am one very proud Wigan fan tonight. An excellent achievement and a simply remarkable turnaround this season. I ended up shedding a tear at the end as 17,000 Wiganers stayed behind to see us lift our first silverware in eight years.

The after-match stuff was better than the match itself, IMO, which was pretty flat really.

Bit stupid having the stage so far down the pitch, obviously you want all the crowd to see the presentation but doesn't mean you have to move it down the bottom end to do so, if the presentation happened on the 10 metre line in front of the souith stand everyone would see the back drop of a packed stadium rather than an empty North stand.

James Child is an absolute game killer. I don't believe he understands the offside rule at all.

We were average at best tonight. I said on the way home I thought we got caught up in the occasion. Our passing accuracy was not as clinical as it can be & we couldn't do the basics right at times like catching the fecking ball after a kick!

Still no injuries (I hope) and another victory. We can head into the play offs with great confidence and determination.

Wigan were poor and will need to up their game in the play offs. Three dropped balls from kick offs are unforgivable. On the plus side we were defensively very good, but had to be due to our own errors.

I agree. I really enjoyed the former players being there at the start as well - Henderson Gill getting the huge cheer was great.

Great to see the fans stay behind and over 17,000 being there tells you while the marketing men want to make the GF the trophy to win, plenty of people recognise coming top is a great achievement in itself.

What was great was...

1) Being stood outside waiting for more tickets
2) Going to the West stand to buy a ticket
3) Having to walk to the south west to get in because the west stand entrances were shut
4) missing the first 15 mins

What was so hard today?

yeah was brill too see nearly everyone stay behind for the presentation, though i thought they was never gonna let Feka have a turn on the mic until everyone started chanting his name

I knew there was going to be a big crowd tonight and I got our tickets a few weeks in advance as I do for every home game, walked up and got in, not hard really.

my mrs said that about feka, never crossed my mind that they wouldn't have interviewed him. I thought it was stage managed.
