But Wigan have ended his loan spell at Hull KR - presumably he'll play against them on Sunday?

It wouldn't make sense for us to end the loan for any other reason. Hope he does play though.

I didn't know his loan spell had ended!
The first month had run out and I thought both clubs had renewed it for the rest of the season but with 24 hrs notice.
Charnley is not allowed under the agreement to play against us for HKR.

We'll have to wait until Friday to see the squad.

Wigan Warriors have recalled Josh Charnley from his loan spell with the club. Charnley scored 5 tries in as many games with the Robins, including a hat-trick against Castelford and the red and whites opening try in the derby at the KC Stadium.

Charnley had not been available to Head Coach Justin Morgan this Sunday anyway, as part of the terms of the loan deal that the Warriors have now brought to a close.

I'd guess Carmont's injury has prompted that, with Gleeson and possibly Goulding & Roberts still out.

Great kid, hope he gets his chance with you guys as from what I've seen he has the potential to go all the way. Been a real asset in the games he's played.

Saying that I hope if he does play on Sunday he has a stinker

but bet he'll get a bag full.

Certainly must be strange for the lad playing against a team only a number of days ago he was trying his heart out for.

Going to be interesting to see how our back line is against KR. Gleeson's definitely out, Carmont's possibly out and I've know idea how Goulding is.

Says in League Express that we expect Carmont and Goulding to play.

If we play Charnley, Marsh, Farrell, Tuson and Davies on Sunday that will be five players who still qualify at U20 level (Charnley still qualifies at U1icon_cool.gif

I wonder if any of those teams who have complained about having so many injuries have had to play so many so young in the same game?

It's a shame that the squad a year older than them wasn't good enough to provide players suitable for the first team then

. Think the most we've had is four around that age, but that's then been bolstered by the likes of Ashurst, Magennis, Moore, Clough, Wheeler and Eastmond who are either the year above or one or two years older.

you could do a lot worse than play him as a straight swap for carmont, I know you lads see him as a winger but the kid has looked a natural in the centre for us.

With it being our last home game (who knows with the playoffs) the players and coaches are coming out to milk the applause for the season after the final hooter regardless of the result, it would be nice if someone could mention it to young josh and get him out with our players at the end, he would get a tremendous reception in thanks for his efforts.

Yep, that was a poor squad, the only ones to come through from that group were Mossop, Sam Tomkins, McIlorum & Goulding.

Would be nice to see that happen, hopefully someone will suggest it at the end. (unless he gets a hattrick and we're sick of the sight of him

I think our two clubs will be carrying the England team in a few years. I can't think of many youngsters I'd put into our squad, but the ones I would come from Wigan.

But that doesn't include McIlorum or Goulding
