can i just take this time to make everyone aware that when i said "penisless self" of the old flag thread, it wasn't a typo for penniless. if you go a few pages back i mentioned how i feared i would be the only person at the meeting who didn't have a penis, being female and all.
so no i dont wear a bag/have a prosthetic etc

Agreed. But actually ordered so say in the east stand (as this is what is seen on television) given tshirts of cherry and white colours.

I saw this at Arsenal once when they had the last game at Highbury and it looked awesome. Red then white in blocks of seats. They even gave the Latics fans blue shirts.

Yeah. It would look good for the "big one 2". Not cheap though I don't think.

Well just don't do it for the wire fans or the west stand.

We need something like this, personally I think they should do scarfs they would look great and would be used again, how many people would wear the shirt to another game? I think people would be more likely to bring a scarf back.

5000 red/white tee shirts at £5 a go your talking of £25000 would be alot for any club to shell out for.

Yeah but I am sure we can get them cheaper than Pemps prices.

Any merchandising that runs into the quantity of 1000's would be next season anyway.
IL would have to budget this into his next financial year, unless he received sponsorship assistance.
A Marketing team would have to then have to find MFR's worldwide / design and obtain best price.
Best price is normally the far east - then you have shipping delays of 6-8 weeks on the slowboats.

Talk of scarves and the like for the Wire game is just pie in the sky.

Would not be £5 a go to produce in china, you would be looking more at £1-£1.50 for a single colour cotton shirt. Given you buy in bulk

One of them mosaics would look good in the South stand for the Stains game, where everyone holds a sheet of paper up. Stuff like this has probably been talked about at the meetings which I am yet to attend though.

So..... Are the flags going to Leeds?? Sure we could find somewhere to put them up considerin the ground will be half empty!!!

One of the worst grounds in the league for our flags. Nowhere to hang them as its an open end.

Just a little update from last week's meeting.

Simon Collinson has given us the green light to place new flags above the Exec box windows along the West Stand.
May take up to 12 months or so to complete (1-2 flags per month), but will look stunning when full.

Can I add my thoughts, from the outside please?
I'd say, be careful with 'filling' the ground with a constant line of flags.
Not sure what else could be done, but to me it can become too many and look a little cheap maybe???

Like I say, I dunno what else can be done. + the purpose of giving the ground 'our touch' so it feels like home is great...

I just worry about how it may look in the end?

No problem at all with your opinion. I think you'll find we are all open to honest debate and constructive criticism.

Phase 2 will offer something different than just flags!!!
