We need as many of those blokes back if we are going stand a chance up there.

Even with those players back faz deserves to keep his place.

Faz IMO has been outplaying Mossop.

Walker isn't ready for full-flow SL yet. Hopefully we can get Tommy back in the team, more importantly Gleeson and bang Bailey back in the SR.

Agree about Walker, though that run out will have done him a lot of good; I've no doubt we'll see him again.

TBH I'd drop Bails after that performance, assuming we have either Goulding or Gleeson back. Second row of Mossop & JT starting, with Farrell on the bench.

Should be a cracking game - is it on Sky or are they having another of their "pin the tail on the fixture list" weekends?

All 7 games are on Sky next weekend with it being the Magic Weekend. They aren't showing it when we visit Huddersfield in mid May though.

I would of took 1 win out of 2 against Huddersfield before the Quins game and I still would now. I think the magic weekend game will rest on how many players we have back because we cant cope with so many players out of position again. By the time we play them at the Galpharm i reckon Roberts could be back and that will be a big help.

He didn't play against Crusaders at the weekend, Cudjoe played at fullback - and he's a pretty dangerous player on attack, though not as good as Hodgson on defence.

Speaking of this btw. Leeds v Warrington & Huddersfield v Wigan play on weekend of 14/15/16 may. Neither of them are on Sky. Salford v Saints and Bradford v Wakefield are obviously bigger clashes!



Thankfully though from the weekend after that they start picking the fixtures at shorter notice!

Frankly, that is ridiculous. It also p*sses me off that my Sky subscription doesn't buy lots of the big games.

I totally agree, they parade Union games around like it is the best thing since sliced bread, yet league seems to get the scraps.

As for the Giants game at the weekend no Hodgson (again, 5th game this year), and no Lunt. Think if we can get 1 or 2 back and remember to shut up shop when/if we get in front we should be ok. (Fingers crossed

even still we all know those 2 would be great games at the beginning of february.

its right what fielden says , There were dire in the second half. We need to be right on top of our game this weekend. Am surprised tommy isnt back yet considering it was only a bruised foot

Regardless whether you think we should be able to manage with injuries, it plays a part, i think that for us to beat huddersfield, we need :

Tommy/Deacon, simply because they are specialised scrum halfs and have worked all the off-season and getting decent ball movement across the line, and lockers showed he hasnt got the speed in his passing or thinking, to even get close at playing a half decent game in the halves.

Gleeson gives us another option in attack, and potentially a better defensive centre than bailey.

Goulding as he is miles better than ainscough, and is rarely exploited under the high ball nor is he such a weak link in defence.

Imo thats the minimum we need back to give huddersfield a damn good run for there money.
