| Yes, this is it, possibly the last time thousands of us we'll ever venture to the tired old ground.
The very recent history has bad memories(hopefully won't be saying that Friday night) but we've had some great days there as well.
What are you best memories?
For me, as a relative youngster, winning 65-12 there in 1997 was great, as was coming from 22-0 down to win, inspired by a Luke Robinson hat-trick. Also remember a famous Good Friday draw with Farrell telling Sculthorpe how much he liked him!!!

Always remember the cup replay when a lot of Saints fans fancied there chances after a draw at Central park. Only for us to hammer them with an Offiah hat trick

| Easy. Boxing Day 1994.
20-2 up at Half Time but down to 12 men after Henry Paul had been sent off for an (accidental?) trip. This after Adam Fogerty had got just a yellow card for headbutting Neil Cowie (both got sin binned)
Into the second half we went down to 11 men twice. First in a 13 v 11 situation and then a 12 v 11 situation after Skerrett and Pickavance had a biff. In this time Saints came back to lead 25-20 with 7 minutes left.
Bobby Goulding had missed a conversion to make it 27-20 and from the restart Steve Prescott knocked on. Moments later Tuigamala hammered his way over from 30 metres out to make it 26-25 to Wigan and we eventually won 32-25 with as I said a man short.

2 saints fans infront of us were giving us loads when they went infront that day, only for them to slope off when Inga went under the posts

| The "You f*cking sh*thouse" game, and the game where Kev Brown and Luke Robinson came on. Both great games.

| Lancashire Cup final versus Warrington - Mid Eighties (85-86)?.
The ground was packed, lovely sunny day IIRC and a brilliant Wigan team to win the Lancs Cup for the first time in over a decade.

I think that was the game O'Connor got his nose plastered all over his face.

| I particularly remember 3 games - all for very different reasons
the 75-0 (not a game you forget in a hurry)
the faz drop goal (wasnt it at the end of the first half ?)
the cup replay - because it was a sellout, so me and my dad ended up listening to it on the radio at the services on the way back to shropshire ! long trip for nothing, but worth it

| Even though I consider myself a relative youngster (25) I still have so many. Every trip has always had something good about it even the defeats (sometimes I 've had to be reminded of what they are).
Stand outs would have to be as follows:
42-4 demolition in 2000, Endacott's barmy army
29-28 nerve wrecker with Sculthorpe missing that kick to give Saints the win and the infamous Carney tackle
Coming down from 20-0 to win 38-34 with the Robinson hat-trick
Winning 28-4 with Mike Gregory in charge being one of if not the most accomplished super league performance we've ever given. Highlights from that game being the Pongia chip and the full length Carney try.
My first ever trip winning 24-18 (I think it was), with Simon Haughton and Gary Connolly tries memorable
In defeat:
Celebrating Chris Ashton's try in the period we'd like to forget as though we'd won the league even though we were getting battered at the time.
Turning up for the 75-0 game knowing we were on the end of a hiding but trying our best to enjoy it all the same.
To sum up though in three words: "Great drunken atmosphere"
Will be sorely missed.

Yes it was, think we was leading 22-6 or something, and he kicked it right on half time as we had little chance of scoring a try. At the time it didn't seem that relevant.

| How about the 65-12 from the terrible Eric Hughes era , Jason Robinson on fire , scored after 30 odd seconds i think.
