I can't remember when i was this excited about a Wigan performance so early in the season.

Amos Roberts was fantastic, he looks confident and decisive as opposed to always being in two minds like he was last season. He now looks like a key player in the squad and is beginning to justify the plane ticket from Australia.

I didnt note last week just how much the players seem to be enjoying themselves but noticed that Madge pointed this out mid-week and it was fairly evident tonight.

Playing really really well, this lad is obviously enjoying his rugby this season. How many times did he take the ball in? It's like having a brand new signing really to add to Deacon!

He looks a different player. I never have and never will subscribe to this notion it takes an experienced player like him a year to settle in. Something has changed to make his performances so far this season like chalk and cheese compared to last and to me its obvious what that is

there seems to be alot of people eating there own words about this fella, said all last year he was a quality player and now its coming through, shaun ainscough anyone

Outstanding again to back up his 2 preformences against Crusaders and Wire in the friendly.

He just looks like a new man. He showed flashes last year of the talent he had but his mind just seemed to be elsewhere at times and his made alot of basic errors. He wa electric last night and on that form there can't be a more exciting wingman in the league.

Looks like he'll be at fullback next week. Who we thinking for the right wing spot? Pryce, Goulding or Ainscough?

Got to be Ainscough, just make sure he's on the opposite side to King.

I wouldn't be against us shifting Richards over to that right wing to come up against King with Ainscough on the left but doubt Maguire will go that way.

The easiest way may just be to put Richards in at fullback so we can leave Roberts on that right side and bring Ainscough in one the left to play against Reilly. We also have the options of Pryce or Goulding(who did well on the wing for Salford) so at least we've got the cover.

I'd expect whoever does come in to be choming at the bit.

If Phelps is out which looks likely I would think MM will want an experienced player at full back (Amos) and will put Goulding to wing. However, I would personally like to see Ainscough back.

Whether it is ainscough or roberts on kings wing they both struggle with high balls when defending our line although at least roberts makes an attempt for them. I would be inclined to start with Pryce and drop roberts to fullback.
