Genuine question because I don't know. For all the stories about him, has Purple Aki ever actually harmed anyone, or is his notoriety down to him simply being a weirdo who likes feeling muscles?

Wasn't there a story where he wanted to feel some young lad down south at a train station and the lad tripped, fell onto the lines and died trying to get away from him?

It's hard to decide what are myths and what are facts when it comes to owd Purple Aki!

A mate of mine in St Helens reckons he's actually soft as sh*te and if you tell him to do one he will...............................I don't think he's tried it though and i sure as hell wouldn't

On another note I heard he dropped himself in it with his parole officer, apparantly he told the parole officer he told a young lad he was the first man on the moon, won the lottery and has bedded 50 page 3 birds then said he was only pulling his leg.

When I was growing up, everybody used to say that we shouldn't go on the tips (the hills and woods near Goose Green and Highfield), because Purple Aki will get you and scribe a P and an A on your cheeks. I didn't believe he actually existed until about 5 years or so ago when I saw a story about him in the papers.

He is quite a decent chap and very good company after he has squeezed your biceps and you have done 50 squats with him on your back.

I never thought he was real until seeing something in the paper about him a couple of years back.....thought it was one of those storys!!

When I was growing up in goose green we didn't go on the tips at night because of 'red cloggs'. Apparently a mine shaft colapsed years ago and trapped a load of fellas down there. Only one man survived and he did so by eating his mates. His cloggs' were red due to their blood dripping on them. Much more frightening than some guy squeezing your your biceps
