Great news and a big well done to the lad, but it just shows how poor we are in the halves when a rookie in his first season is the best 6 in Superleague, the question is now will he get the 6 shirt for England.

Definately deserves it! He's been superb and even when things havnt been going his way he still puts in more effort than anyone else on the pitch!!

Well deserved, and what's even better is that we know he should be at Wigan for the rest of his career. It's been a joy to watch him in his debut season, hopefully here's to many more.

It's so exciting to think the lads only going to get better and better aswell.

He's so far living upto all the hype about him that we've read on here for the past 3 or so years.

And to think under Noble's duty of care/Smith's injury he wouldn't have played half as many games.

Not sure how you work that one out i am sure he played in most games when Smith was here. I think he came off the bench in most of the when Tommy went to 9 Smith to 7 and Sam to 6 i stand to be corrected but sure thats how it was in most games. When Smith went we had no option but to let Sam start every game.

His selection is NOT an indication of a lack of quality in the league. And it WAS only because of Tim Smith's injury that he got his chance. Failure to trust Sam's ability was Noble's biggest single error.

bollox. Sam was told before the season began by Noble he would get between 10-15 games. Noble told us in Australia he was expecting Sam to get 10-15 games regardless of Tim Smith. There are other people on here to back me up on that aswell that it came from Nobby's mouth.

Well as i have posted above and just been through the teams Sam did not play in 5 games before Smith left and one was his England call up. He did not start in most of them but came off the bench which in the long term was probably the best way. And when his chance came he took it with both hands Well done Sam.

Surprised Morley's in there before Graham to be honest, although Morley has had a good year Graham has pretty much carried the Saints pack by himself.

A good superleague player for sure but he's been outplayed this season by at least one 13(O'Loughlin) and it's a sorry story for superleagues loose forwards over the years(well since Faz left) that he's made so many teams.

Also no Graham is laughable.
