| will he ever make it at wigan ?
it was embarrassing for the lad last night , injured again almost straight away after coming off the bench in what looked a very innocuous tackle
maybe he should be released from his contract and allowed to move on ?

| Is anyone surprised? Booed whenever he touched the ball, his own fans cheering when he got injured. There are some serious idiots follow this club these days.

sometimes there is a culture of this at our club, look at mathers now enjoying his rugby and playing well! i know the big lad didn't have a good game last night but personally i think he is carrying too much weight! if he has a massive off season and gets in shape for next season he will be a star! don't forget last night they played him at stand off so he was out of position! he is only young and still has alot to learn.
some supporters should get off his back and try to encourage him!
p.s. well done to a young team for coming back last night, some guts at last!!!

I said exactly the same thing last night. Before he had even touched the ball fans were jeering and yelling abuse. When he went down injured people started to boo. I can understand fans frustration but I don't think that is on.
I think it was very unfair to put a player low on confidence at halfback where the player has to be very confident to take the line on, to order players about to structure the attack etc and it has been quite obvious that Karl Pryce at the moment does not fit the role. Duty of care from Noble there went out the window.
No wonder Richie Mathers is doing so well with a different coach and the backing of the Warrington fans.

Spot on.
There's a load of people sit 2 rows behind me - all family I think - and I am not exaggerating when I say EVERY time the ball came over to our right side in attack they would launch a tirade of abuse at Amos Roberts.
During one attack Amos got the ball and had he gone straight he would've met 3 defenders and probably been taken into touch, so he headed infield, dodged a few tacklers, didn't make many yards forward but at least we still had the ball. The abuse he got was shocking.
And it's been the same with any number of players: Mathers, Fielden, Roberts, Pryce, Riddell, Coley - all had it this year, and in years past Richards - and if that doesn't teach people not to judge too early, I don't know what will.

I agree with that, but I think it was the best option. We simply don't have a 6. Phepls is playing well at FB, so I can understand why he was left there and with no lockers there wasn't much else we could do.
Pryce is clearly a confidence player, give him time in the first team and he will come good I think.

| If Noble plays him next week after the abuse from the crowd he is insane. It was totally unfair. He needs to be loaned out just so he can prove himself away from our crowd, which quite frankly I'm a bit disgusted with at the moment. Salford want him to fill the hole Goulding left? Goulding has come back a better player after all, and I don't want us to lose Pryce permenantly.

| What annoys me is the lad is bigger than feca.
I fhe had a heart and ran with some power and aggression he could be a devestaing forward or even a prop.
As it is he has the heart of a goldfish, not a lion.

Flanagan would have been the better option, either to come on as hooker, leaving Tommy at #7, or coming on at #6 instead of Pryce. he's played both positions pretty well (better at #6) in the reserves.

| At the moment we're an unhappy bunch of fans and certain players are feeling the wrath of being made scapegoats of. I personally found the abuse directed at certain players to be completely unwarranted.

Completely agree, some of the players look devoid of confidence because certain sections of the fans are moaning and groaning as soon as they touch the ball - its as if certain fans are wanting them to fail at times to justify their opinions.

| Why do we have to keep putting these blokes down. He's played a handfull of first team games in the last 4 years therfore will take time. Give him a decent run in the team in his position then judge. If we keep putting him down he'll go elsewhere and be a very good player for someone else who's fans back their players. Booing him is shocking, we are SUPPORTers lets try supporting the team for a change.

| Noble would be better playing away from home.
The fans support the team better and the team play better when away.
Next two away games are Bradford & Saints then Wire to follow.
I would leave him out until we go to Cas, the following week Hull FC at home then Hudds away.
Pryce came on when Tommy was binned. They had practiced with him playing at 6 yet when he stood wide out Sam was calling him in. I couldn't understand this.
Either Thaler was saying that we should pack down with six although the rules say only five are needed we a man down. Or Sam & Karl got confused.
Stood at 6 Pryce would have faced Fakir who was out of their pack. Stood further out Karl was facing Bosc. IMO he should have stayed where he was and Sam should have put the long pass out.
Fakir would never intercept it and Pryce would have had a clear run at Bosc. Also he got belted and had an eye problem.
Next week Gleeson will likely be back and Goulding will take Pryce's place on the bench.
Agree he could go on loan, we should not even consider releasing him.

| - Could not believe it when he was doing the set moves at 6 in the warm up.
He was absoloutly terrible on the few occasions he got the ball but the Wigan fans who jeered him were out of order.
Should have played Flannagan at least we would have got half an hours graft out of him.

| One problem he looks to have is a lack of agility, he never appears to try a step to put his defender off balance. With his obvious size he should be able to brush defenders off with ease if he did this.
Looks like Vialeaki (?) mk 2 to me

| The lad is an embarrassment to our conditioning team.
I respect that he had a bad injury but we have had at least 6 mths to get this kid looking something like an athlete and his fitness looks as far away now as he did in the pre season friendlies.

It's a major problem at Wigan and the worst part is that it's easily solved by IL tho but it’s not happened as of yet.
Most of the players in Feka, Riddell, Prescott, Mcilorum, Pryce and Fielden could or should be either bulked up or conditioned better imo and we’d see a big improvement in their game

| Does anybody think it is a coincidence that Goulding returns from a spell with another club and a qualified conditioning coach and he looks physically much sharper and an extra yard of pace? I don't.
