how do you think the rest of the season will go ?
Here's my opinion

I actually think this will be good for you contrary to others belief

1. I think the siege mentality will bring the squad closer together.
2. The players will no doubt feel for Hock and want to play well.

Wigan will be a wounded animal, unpredictable and dangerous

I actually think strangely this could be good for Wigans season

3rd option. Players will still give half-d efforts and Wire will beat us in the CC with ease.

I read on the Wire board that they think it's made the semi final a done deal for them, i actually beg to differ.

If anything this should kick a few ar*es in gear and probably gives us more of a chance of winning that game.

We had little chance before this happened imo but now i'm not so sure. It could go either way but i just hope they'll learn a few lessons from this.

Cronulla Sharks had a similar issue with Reni Maitua getting busted for Clenbuterol.

Although he only played a handful of games (and it was fair to say he hardly set the shire on fire) you would think that it would have a negative effect on the club.

However since a terrible start the Sharks seem to be getting it back together.

Having adversity can make a club gel together and actually prove to be of benefit I reckon.

IL might lay into the players after this. At the end of the day they are employees at his company.

Well I thought Sundays Fixture would tell us an awful lot both in terms of players response to the Celtic game and Noble's job position. Even more so now.

Sunday is huge.

I think people may have a little more sympathy for Noble after today...........................he's dealing with a shower or morons!

I'm not saying we should keep him on or anything but we don't always know what problems there are behind the scenes.

With the players attitude and the general feeling of something being wrong in the club I really can't say how I think it will effect the season.

I know that sounds like I am sitting on the fence but when you consider the professional display at Murrayfield and the Shambles at Celtic, who knows.

I'd like to think it'll galvanise the team but I have no idea really. We're so unpredictable this season it's difficult to give any sort of judgement on it. We'll have to wait and see.

The best thing for Wigan now imo is for BN to leave at the end of season.

This isn’t his fault but I can’t help but feel we need the freshness of a new coach in with the players and club in general.

We now HAVE to sign one world class player this season to get the buzz back.

Cant see it taking too much out of the rest of the players in your squad but it will certainly weaken your team as Hock was one of the better players at Wigan. In that sense it will be negative.

It's like a Soap Opera at the minute

Brian Noble - Wigan Coach for 3 years. This type of 'off the field' activity has been going on prior to his arrival and whilst he was here. (My father in law walked into a local pub toilet and witnessed similar act of a first team player who's now no longer with the club - didn't even bother to do it in a cubicle.)

Brian Noble - Ex Policeman, If there was ever a man to clamp down on this type of activity you'd assume an ex copper could.

Sorry Brian, but this is something that should have been nipped in the bud on your arrival. Maybe execute a few sacrifical lambs to serve as a warning..?

I have voted in a negative way, we may see a reaction on the weekend but it will be short lived. What we now have to deal with is a total lack of threat/strike with wide runners.

Defences will not have to worry about that chanel as much and as such our non creative team will have even less space to work in.

The only small positive is that Gleeson may see a little more ball now we won't be as obsessed with the Hock/Carmont combo.

I don't want to sound Kevin Keegan like and state the obvious, but it could work either way.



I think Wigan are a proud club no matter what, yes they appear to be going though a bad patch, and it seems Noble is on his way with a few dodgy deals going on behind his back to find his replacement. Couple that with the Hock story and you lot have a major problems, but if a club ever needed motivation, they are one game from Wembley, and have a massive game against an out of sorts Hull KR side on sunday, a real stepping stone towards a last gasp surge towards the play offs.

I think Wigan might just turn all of this around, I only hope it all starts the following week after Rovers turn them over.

to be a good player means on and off the field.now we know why his behaviour on the field is so erratic.until wigan start acting like a professional team they will struggle to win important games
