Its still 2months away, you should easily sell them all.

Meanwhile we have sold around 75-80% of our allocation, just over 1000 left.

If its anything like the ticket sales for our semi, the length of time between the last round and the semi seems to have taken alot of excitement out of it.

Given the bellyaching on here when the venue was announced about how small it was for a semi final - even though we got nowhere near selling out our allocation for the same venue in 2004, I'd have thought we'd sell more than that in a week.

If the Dire sell out, looks like there'll be tickets in the Wigan end available.

It all depends on form going into it. If we have a good July (which includes Catalans, Bradford, Leeds & Saints) then people will want to go to the semi.

Personally I couldn't give a toss if we sell out or not. I've got my ticket!

100% agree. It's something that really needs to be looked at.

I've not got mine yet. The fact its so long off hasn't exactly got me beating a path to the ticket office. I suspect a lot of people are going to pick them up at a later date.

I think more will be sold when they go on general sale due to it being reserved seating. Some groups include season ticket holders and non season ticket holders who will want to sit together. Sales may pick up then.

If Wire sell their allocation and Wigan have plenty left, would Wire ask the RFL for some of the Wigan tickets?

they could ask........but i doubt the RFL making a decision on that until about a week before the game.

wigan fans are entitled to wait as long as they like before buying em.....so it wont happen in the near future imo.

It's embarrassing to be honest. Whats wrong with our fans? This isnt just an ordinary away game, its a semi-final and better still its at a local venue. We should of sold out with just season ticket holders.

I'm a season ticket holder and haven't got my ticket yet. I will do nearer the time and I'm sure lots of others will be the same.

Well if lots of people were willing to do that, it sounds like lots of people arn't bothered if they get a ticket or not.

I don't care if no Wigan fans go as long as we get to the final, surely the important issue is the result and not wondering if its going to be a sell out. We are one of the few teams who could actually take 30-40,000 to wembely, so lets hope we do that.

Everyone moaned like feck about the venue a few years back and then looked like idiots when it didn't sell out. The RFL are right, CC Semi's simply aren't big box office any more.

I don't agree with aiming small though, I feel a double header at a bigger stadium would of been better, the rfl aim low - fact. But it doesn't matter if it's a sellout.

Good idea, they do this in Gaelic football in Dublin, they host about 4 games during one day and have attendences of 80k

It wasn't my idea, someone said on here or the virtual terrace board the day the draw was done, have a double header at the city on manchester stadium, we would fill the bottom 2 sections easy and the rfl could be pleased with the no empty seats policy and we would have a big crowd.
