the documentary bit on morgan was superb before the game today and made me want him as wigan coach even more. he talked sense, showed plenty of one on one time with players, down to earth and very passionate about his team.
made me laugh when they showed him coaching the kr v cas game. " tell newton if he kicks that ball again ill cut his " f ucking leg off, BUILD THE PRESSURE "

I think it was just BBC trying to show SKY they get better access or something. There wasnt any real point to having Morgan do a 30 second bit. He didnt say anything his assistants or conditioners could have said on the touchline.

aye, but you can look at it the other way. he didn't miss anything in them 30 seconds that he assistants won't have seen, so won't have affected anything. so bbc have got one over on sky. most (general) fans will prefer hearing the coach speak, rather then his assistants.

Really enjoyed the prematch VT with Morgan. With no RL Raw if the BBC can offer these behind the scenes offerings I'll applaud them. As for the ingame interview. It's a first! Not every coach would do it but yes, one up on Sky. Two maybe.

Justin Morgan ticks a lot of boxes...

He's young but has expierience.

He's done an excellant job at the club he is at now.

He's Australian.

I would be over the moon if we could pursuade him to join Wigan.

Top coach, Hull KR are destined for great things with him.

And how long would it take for people to turn, we already have the most successful coach of the summer era, in fact, we also had the second most successful, so Morgan would last only minutes.

Why are so many Wigan fans disheartened with Brian Noble, don't you think he has done a good job given the position the team was in when he took the reigns?

I'd give my right arm for Nobby to come back to bradford.

Sorry for the rant but this is really starting to bug me. I’ve seen this type of negative attitude grow within our own fans more and more over the past few years and it has to stop sooner rather than later.

FFS were Wigan RL, and it’s not about living in the past before anyone says that, it’s about never adopting that small club mentality some fans seemed to have resigned themselves to already. If you expect mediocrity in every aspect of the club then that’s what you’re going to get. The moment we start to belittle ourselves or put ourselves down is the moment we become major underachievers like Warrington or even worse Wigan Athletic who are just happy to be there and never win anything. This club has already achieved great things and can achieve great things once again. I really can’t work out those fans who are always negative and presume the worse in every situation.

No disrespect to Hull KR here as they are what I’d call my 2nd team when not going against Wigan. You can’t help but like a team with Colbon, Briscoe and Dobbo as well as admire the work Morgan has done sticking with a lot of the players who took them up.

BUT;

We are still a bigger club
We’ve got a better ground
We’ve arguably got the premier training facilities in SL.
We’ve got better attendances
Our reserves and Accademy produce good/quality SL players week in week out and currently sit at the top of both tables.
He’s got an owner who runs the club well and will back him and give him time
We’ve got a good team which pushed a Hull KR team currently on their best run in decades very, very close and we could have won.

If we offered him the job the question should be with so much to offer why wouldn't he come??

But its the pressure factor, its becoming a poisoned chalice coaching Wigan. His family live in Hull and from what I saw of that documentary he looked very happy, so why come to us? Fair enough we are still arguably the biggest club in the world and the most famous, but at the moment I cant see a proper reason for him leaving Hull KR to come to Wigan.

I'm sure he was happy at Toulouse also so why did he go to Hull KR?

Why did Potter leave a successful Catalan side for Saints?

Why did Bennett go to St.George?

Why did Noble come to us after being Bradford’s greatest ever coach/

Because it’s all about taking the next step and a bigger challenge. The potential at Wigan is massive for someone that is willing to take it head on and make the tough calls.

If Morgan doesn’t want that and wants to keep the security he’s got now then it wouldn’t work anyway.

Something tells me about the guy tho that he’d well be up for making the use of our facilities and academy sides.

Morgan would do great at Wigan IMO

If he could get the best out of our players and make them as drilled and organised as he has with that bunch at KR then we would be a bloody good team I reckon

Has it been annouced yet what the kick off is for the HKR because it mite be on the box and people already bought tickets will be un happy if its a nite kick off for those who have children.

He may coach the 'dark-side' but i'd take him at the KC right now. It was easy to see in that short film why Rovers have come such a long way in such a short time.
