Sounds like the sort of behaviour from a certain Newcastle chairmen.

Why do so many people want Lam as a new coach??? A great player doesnt always make a good coach. Surely and experienced coach would be better.

A 2 page advert in the NOTW saying Nobby is open to offers. A poor thing for a head coach to do. Very immature and the club deserve better.

What do you excpect him to do. Wait and be out of a job.

If that is a come and get me then good for him. He needs to work to pay his bills as most people do. You can excpect him to keep quiet about whats going on much longer. Seems IL is going to get rid of Noble.

Personally i will give it 6 months after Noble has gone before most moan about the new coach. That will be by April 2010 we will be calling for a new coach. IL has got to start getting quality in or were going to be what we are now below average quality SL team.

Take a walk down the paper shop and read the article millions are reading today. You will also see Nobby's picture is different with his bottom lip dropped like a spoilt child not allowed to have an ice cream!!

Thats precisely my point!!! Club legends dont always make a great coach. We all want something to be done at the Roosters, because its pathetic at the moment.

Who cares whether it's fantasy or not?

You really need to get over your annoyance that IL left Quins. Your constant attacks on him are totally transparent. Not that it really matters. Nobody here cares about Quins or how peeved you all feel. If you had half a brain, you'd perhaps be starting to suspect by now that he used your club as a stepping-stone to get what he really wanted - Wigan.

Whether that works out for him and / or us in the long run, who knows. But there's nothing in that article that we didn't already know, or at least suspect. IL is refusing to speak publically about the situation re. Noble - nothing new there - which has clearly irritated the journo, who's responded by digging up the 'humiliation' suffered by Noble and his players last year (even though that 'humiliation' successfully galvanised them into an impressive assault on the play-offs). Again nothing new, nothing shocking.

By previous Wigan standards, this club has been more than patient with Brian Noble. And after the crapfest we were served on Friday night, I'd argue that now is not the time for him to be throwing the gauntlet down. He's only going to make things worse for himself.

One thing that was funny though - he comments on the situation maybe having an effect on his short-term coaching.

Wow, Brian! You mean the lads might suddenly stop showing commitment to the Wigan colours, getting motivated enough to win close matches, showing exemplary discipline, handling and carrying properly, playing the ball quickly, utilising dummy-runners, bringing their forwards from depth rather than a standing-start ... oh, hang on!

I took your advice wire-quin and bought the paper, it's interesting but I dont really see anything massive here. If that text is true then why is noble still saying he can't "wait forever" when he has alledgedly been told?

The interesting part will be Lenegans response, if any.

As for the fan in the board room, it is backed up by no quote, no example, and is only something noble 'indicated' it's about as convincing as a xBKx cc argument tbh

What I find strange about the supposed "text" in Perpignan is that Noble's wife was there with Ian Lenangan and his wife. That is FACT because we were talking to them outside the ground.

if this is true it could be the blessing we've been waiting for.......get noble sacked for Gross Misconduct! No pay off and we get rid NOW!! If noble has said things like this about the chairman publicly then wigan have grounds to sack him!!

if i was brian id keep my head down and focus trying to win a contract by building the sides form and not destroying his chances of getting a contract by keep coming out saying he aint going to wait.
