He stops as he hits the line, how he exoects to break a tackle is beyond me. I've stuck up for him foir a while, but I'm starting to lose faith in him recovering some form again.

Lets be honest the balls we give Stuart are a disgrace. "Here Stuart have this hospital ball and get smashed". McIllorum was giving him some right e and we don't use an of our props properly near the line we are the only team in the whole of super league who don't use our props properly.

I said about 4-6 weeks back i'd offer him a new deal as even though he isn't vintage Fielden he's still a good 2nd/3rd prop but he's since gone rapidly backwards.

He really let himself and the team down tonight and it's really hard viewing watching him fanny about the place at times.

i always hope that fieldens form will show some consistency. remember leeds last year. he took the whol pack on and kicked their ass. but those performances are few and far between. i like the guy but for the money hes on, doesn't warrant the place. on a lesser contract maybe, but he is crippling us with his form and lack of contribution

Lost us the game tonight in my opinion, on an individual performance base anyway, lack of composure and attacking play was crucial but if you could pick out 1 player who came up with losing plays at crucial times it was Fielden. Lose carries and a shocking effort on Roby that lead to the Saints fightback.

People said we'd see a different Fielden when he got more help from Coley yet we haven't and they also said we'd see a different Fielden when we got better distribution from dummy half in Riddell but neither has really helped.

When he's up for it as proved at the back end of last year he can still be a good player but he just doesn't look ar*ed at the moment.

I can't make many more excuses for him tbh.

Maybe joining Mossop at Barrow.

Better distribution Riddell & McIllorum don't give good distribution hospital balls and balls to the head and feet are not quality, Coley???? I think we need to tie him to the back of Feka in training and say "THIS IS HOW YOU RUN FORWARD IN A STRAIGHT LINE!!!!!!"

What i'm trying to say is people have made all sorts of excuses for him and tried time and again to blame his form on other people but at some point we've all got to hold our hands up and especially him himself and say it's not good enough.

He still can be a decent player for us but his career at the very highest level is over and thats really bad for us because we need a prop who's tough, takes it in all day long, can play long minutes, gets through tonnes of defence and leads from the front..........................................all the things that Fielden used to be!!!

My point and this is the most frustrating thing we don't use our props enough we rely far too heavey on our backs and 2nd rowers to make the yards (except Feka granted), every other SL team use there props continuously. We dont use our props in the opponents 10 yrd area, and we gave Prekkie & Fielden hospital balls all night.
I know his overall game needs a lift but as a team we have to give him and the pack the ability to build a platform which in turn will benefit the rest of the side.

Fielden was embarrasing tonight.
