First of all I'm glad to we're resting who we're resting. Although I would liked to have seen Deacon also rested.

My only gripe would be McIlorum having to play the full eighty a week before the QF.

Surely we can't be asking Maccy to play 80mins there the week before next

Unless we saw something mid-game like Finch possibly having a spell at 9 with Lockers at 6, meaning Farrell to loose and a forward off the bench replacing McIlorum, but I doubt that's very likely.

If he cant play the full 80 I'd be a bit worried tbh.

Marsh on the bench than Mcllorum goes off he comes on move pat to fullack and sam at 6 and decs at 9

It would have been the perfect opportunity to give Mellor or Logan Tomkins a game. McIlorum playing 80 minutes before a big game the week after doesn't seem to make much sense.

It will be interesting to see who misses out. I can't see Fielden being thrown straight back in, it would seem a bit risky given his injuries. Cross has already said he'd be playing in the under 20's so that would mean Marsh would be in the squad.

I can't see why Fielden would even be named in the 19 though if he wasn't going to be in the 17. Fielden is a shoe-in for the bench IMO.

I'm guessing Tuson or one of our 8 half-backs will do a few minutes at hooker.

I'd give Carmont and Coley a rest. Mossop a game in the second row. A pack of Lima, Mickey Mac, Cross, Mossop, Hock and Lockers (at some stage of the match) could be interesting.

If Fielden is fit, he'll defo be in the mix for Friday. Madge has hinted that he will be straight back in the first team rather than having a run out in the 20s. Says its just like driving a car

Surprised Cross has been named in the 19 as he's stated he's playing in the U20s on Saturday. With Eamonn O'Square back in contention as well, we have got one hell of a formidable pack for next week!!! Bring on the Wolves!!!

Absoulutely no chance Fielden will go straight back in after so long out.

Marsh has to be on the bench IMO to allow Micky Mac a rest with as suggested Deacon going in at 9 and Sam into the halfs.

I can see Fielden playing from the bench in the hope of him featuring next week with Cross in the u20's playing plenty of minutes incase he's needed.

May just be from the bench but defo not playing in the U20s. Why would Madge put him in the 19 at all if he had no intention of giving him some game time?

The men if any I'd be resting would be Sam and Carmont.

If either of those 2 get an injury at some point were in trouble.

Chuffed to bits to see Stu back, think he's a fabulous player. But although its great to see the names on the teamsheet, I'm a little concerned about the prospect of having 3 very rusty players in the side for the big cup game next week in Fielden, Cross and Hock.

Injuries permitting, 2 of those 3 won't play vs Wire.

we really only have had 3 props recently, Lima , Coley and Mossop, I reckon Madge is trying to weigh up who to put in for the wire game out of Hock, Cross and Fielden. I would like to think he would stick with Lima, Coley and Mossop for the wire game as previously said the others are a bit too rusty. Coley may not have been outstanding of late but he is consistent and solid and a big game player.
