| [url=www.sportinglife.com/rugbyleague/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=rleague/09/06/13/RUGBYL_Celtic_Crusaders_Quotes.htmlAccording to Noble. Bet you don't have the bollox to drop anyone though - well apart from Ainscough.
[/url
Although Wigan boss Brian Noble congratulated the Crusaders, he was critical of his side's attitude towards the match which now means they have lost three of their last four matches.
Noble said: "I think we gifted the Crusaders the two points with the amount of errors and ball control we made. It was embarrassing at times.
"It was a reflection of our attitude, which I thought was poor today at times. With all the strides we have made in the last five or six weeks, today was a poor effort.
"You think you can show up and win so I suppose it is complacency. We have just disrespected the ball and we didn't do the things we have practised to do. It showed in the result.
"Two points were thrown away by us because of our attitude and that is taking nothing away from Celtic who were manful, dogged, they kept in the game and found some decent kicks.
"But the quality of our skill in relation to where it has been today was poor.
"I think the three times we got down to their line, we scored.
"We scored two more perfectly good tries which were chalked off. If you are going to give teams a lift over the wall, things will not go your way.
"It's a difficult one to take. It's not a big step back and the boys are very disappointed - I'm disappointed because I'm part of this team - but it does stick in the throat."

| Like a lot of other Wigan fans at the game tonight we both feel very angry and let down by the performance by the players tonight.
We have all spent a lot of money and given up a lot of time to come and watch them. All we ask is at least they give a damn, I don't care what Noble says about the players effort. They came and just went through the motions and arrogantly thought that would be enough to beat Celtic, who throughly deserved the win.
Thank goodness we decided to make a weekend of it and do something tomorrow as it would have been a complete waste of time and money had we not. I feel sorry for all the fans who have come down here and back up to Wigan in one day.
MOM was Feka as he was the only player who seemed to give a damn other than Ainscough who made a couple of appalling errors in the first half.

Mentality does not need to be instilled into a player. A player either can be bothered to play or not. They get paid to da a job and are stealing a living this season.
If the players cant get themselves up for a game everyweek then they are not only in the wrong club they are in the wrong sport as well. Some of those players either buck up their ideas or should be embaressed and made to play in the reserves. Also let the Australins know they need to get out if they cant be bothered to play. ive had enough of the crap give Riddell time. Hes has 6 months or more in the country hes known he was coming here a year ago. Same for Roberts as well.

I agree with a lot of that. Yes Noble has his faults as has been mentioned on here.
But where is the players pride and professionalism, where is the players caring towards the fans? Neither of them were on display tonight

I am sure they would as well.
I know the likes of Liam Farrell would for starters. Mark Flanaghan played tonight and did ok but it was not easy for him to shine amongst the dog turd surrounding him.
As for Lee Mossop, well how the hell can he get a game in superleague for Huddersfield who are higher up the table than us, but not for us? That one sure as hell beats me.

| Down to nothing but poor coaching, motivation and tactics, other coaches in superleague get the very best out of there players. Warrington a good example, crap with Lowes in charge yet considerabley improve with Smith in charge, for me not changing the coach earlier in the season has written this season in superleague off.

I agree with Charlie Seeling.

So Brian, you are blaming the defeat on complacency and poor attitude? And who is that down to?
Mr Lenegan - are you going to listen to these same excuses for the next 3 months and watch our support dwindle further or are you going to grow some b0llocks and take action?
Whatever people might think, today was a very embarrassing result.

| I agree coaching is a huge part of it, but the players are not without blame themselves. Where is the pride in the jersey and themselves?
Arrogance was the reason I believe we lost, collectively the players thought all they had to do was turn up and we would win.
After 60 mins it suddendly dawned on the thick sods that we might just lose so they started to throw the ball around playing panick rugby, but as they had been so rubbish the whole game it just would not work for them.

| It's not good enough!, Wigan haven't been good enough for a while and this defeat highlight's that fact!
I am getting fed up of saying this but their needs to be a change!, because we aint going anywhere at the moment!. Without harping on about it a club of this size should be doing better!
I don't think we have the players or the management to get the club anywhere:
The likes of Fielden etc have been off form for ages, Sean Oloughlin as good a plyer as he is, i don't see him as a captain and we have too many australians whom aren't at it!. We get rid of Mickey Higham and bring in Riddell? what good has that done?
And yet we are still going in for these over priced, australians whom lets face it if they are allowed to leave their clubs in the NRL they can't be that good?
Lenagan has to take action, i hope he is either going to make a change soon or do it at the end of the season!

hmmm something doesn't add up here. The great strides in a poor run of form. Noble has lost all his senses me thinks.

I'm pretty sure I said that there was little point calling for his head as I don't think Lenaghan will get rid before the end of the season i.e. his contract is up.
Maybe I'm wrong and there'll be an announcement on Monday morning.

"Give the bloke a break" Unquote.
I think he has had enough "breaks" - as a guy said near me at the Salford game "Mark Gleeson has turned into Richie Mathers and Richie Mathers has turned into Mark Gleeson". That's coaching.
On Radio Manchester today he has said he hopes the team are hurting as he (Noble) is and he hopes the fans are hurting.......not sure he meant it this way but rest assured the fans ARE hurting big style.....and voting with their feet. In the current financial situation even real fans can't take it.
Going into the garden now to drown my sorrows. Good job we don't have a pond!!!!!
