| Don't know if its been done before but after reading a tweet by Kris Radlinski it got me interested in people's opinions. Rads reckons Gareth Hock is the one to watch for 2012. I have to say I agree as he has the number 12 shirt. Wondered what others think?

| i dont think i could pick a single player, and i definitely couldnt comment on the youth players who havent yet played first team rugby, but there are a few who i would hope/expect improvement from.
mossop i would like to see continued determination and development
pat i would like to see a return to form but am unsure how likely this is
amos, see above aha
and as you say, seeing hock again will be interesting

| The new signings obviously.
Amos Roberts - we all remember his form at the start of 2010
Gareth Hock - he was one of the best forwards in super league before his ban
Joe Mellor - this guy has similar potential to Tomkins when he came into the team
Brett Finch - his second season with a full pre-season under his belt
Stand out has to be Hock. He has the potential to the best backrower in super league, certainly the best with ball in hand. He should bring the fight we sometimes lack in the pack.
Kind of lost hope in Roberts, I hope he can get fit and return to that outstanding form but I just can't see it.

| In 2009 the start Gareth Hock made in Super League he could have been a contender for Man of Steel. I hope he carries on the same form in 2012 because he is a beast of a player and can be unplayable if he gets back to his old form.

| Brett Finch could be very special next season. He obviously had a slow start but that was down to him coming back from the first major injury of his career and he just got better and better as the weeks went by. He's going to a huge year.
Another player I expect to kick on is Liam Farrell. He had a great first year and like a lot of young players an indifferent 2nd season but is form really picked up at the end and he'll carry that in to this season IMO.
A super player.

| Finch has the potential to be the next Barrett.
Mossop could force opposition to start considering him as a serious threat in 2012.
Farrell thought 2011 could of been his storming season but didnt get as much game time as expected (did have a solid season but really think he has the potential to be the best 2nd Row in the country)
Goulding just have a hunch...

| Dudson for me, I think he is going to be something special. Hoping Mellor gets a crack too, i love his style of play - he could be the missing link for us.

| Farrel for me. He perhaps suffered from second season syndrome a little this year.
Looking forward to seeing what Dudson's capable of also.

| All the players already mentioned have the potential to make a big impact in 2012. However, for me I would like to see Joe Mellor have a run in the first team as I think he could really make a big impact and maybe take some pressure and limelight off Sam.

| If he gets some game time Carberry could be a bolter. I'd also like too see Matty Russell get a few games this coming season.

I agree, hes been in awesome form and I think reserves is too low a standard for him now. He either needs to be sent on loan to a super league side or feature in the first team at some point. Would like to see Dom Crosby and Tom Spencer feature also.

| This is what excites me about Wane taking charge. He has brought through a lot of younger players when academy coach and I can see many younger fringe players getting the chance next year. I think when Dudson gets in shape then he will be a big asset in the pack.

| For me I want to see Goulding play more.
When he first played for us I said to my mate that I go to games with that I think theres something there and I have always been one for spotting that. Im not good for spotting when they're gonna go rubbish but I am good with spotting potential and I spotted his. I said Tommy would be a monster after an adequate but not amazing first season and I told him Phelps was out of position and he made that full back shirt his own for a short period before going rubbish... Like I said I can see the potential but I cant see when they're gonna go rubbish again...
The other one is Charnley I think he could become one of the top players in SL next season. I think him and Goulding will properly gel this year with a full pre-season together and do big things this coming season.
I think of the two it would be Goulding as I think he really needs to shine this year and show the potential I feel he has.

| I doubt we'll even see Gil Dudson for more than a handful of games next year, let alone see him make a big impact.
I think Liam Farrell and Brett Finch may have big years.

| Agree with Rads, one to watch Gareth Hock which really is no surprise given his ability.
Surprise package, Lauaki.

Watching the 20's grand final this year Logan looks to be getting on in the game on pretty much name alone. Is that harsh? Maybe but when I see a hooker with not much pace, who's not the biggest or strongest and who's passing isn't great I can't help but feel he's fighting a losing battle.
Hopefully he'll prove my eyes aren't all that.

| If the Widnes dangerman is Ah Van they're in for one hell of a long season which to be fair is probably the case.
