Piggy tried selling a few last night but not many got bought

They are called season tickets in this neck of the woods.
The club usually makes an announcement following the first home league game.
After the first deadline numbers were up slightly on last year.
Actual figures though, don't know!

I'd guess it'll be around 9,000.

Heard Leigh have had players ringing up fans who hadn't renewed their season ticket for this year to ask why. Something we could look into maybe?

As the club haven't put out a press release celebrating an increase, I would suggest they're down on last year but it won't be by much. Like Father Ted said they did actually state in the press that they were ahead of last year at the first deadline so we can't be too far off last year.

I suppose the victory over us will also become there USP for fans to buy season tickets

they rang me about why my lad hadnt renewed.
i told em it was because of the hike from student to adult, and he would pay per game.

hopefully they might listen and bring in a 16-21 season ticket at a reasonable price that a uni student, or apprentice/trainee can afford........before we lose these fans for good.

Students get a good discount on Season Tickets (in the South Stand at least)

I've a student season ticket which the grandparents got me for christmas [along with a season ticket for my Grandad and I think we're in the West Stand.

He think he's looking after me, but i'll end up looking after both of them.

There's no drummer in the west stand so make sure you take one with you. They'll love that over there.

but there should still be discounted rates for apprentices/trainees who are on low wages.

Yes you do still get a discount as a uni student as long as you have a NUS card. I'm a uni student and have a student season ticket for the East stand.

As for a discount for those on low wages, while it may be a nice idea i feel it would be too difficult to put into practice. Who would want to be responsible for deciding what qualifies as a low wage? I know i wouldn't.

Listen, we've already accommodated the tall Glaswegian Captain into the West Stand (although I'm not sure his application has been rubber stamped) so that's enough disruption for one season, so stick the drummer up your arriss.

we dont differentiate depending on income in my idea.
we do it by age.
16-21 rate......somewhere round about the present rate for students.

some footy teams do it....notably Stockport County.
