Completly unrelated, his achilles tendon will have been fraying for a while before it let go.

Bad injury that could affect his future level of performance. Hope he is back up and running Feb, in the mean time he can hit the weights hard.

I've done my achillies myself and as Nick NJ previously stated it will have been coming on for a while. Also if the stand by Graham (which i am not defending) was what caused it it would have happened before it did. This makes it unlikely the 2 incidents were related.
He's been a good player for you and hopefully he will have a speedy recovery.

Gutted for him! He deserves to play in the WCC more than anyone! He will probably lose some of his pace and agility.

Depends how his rehab goes. If it goes well, by the time he is ready to come back his pace and agility will be much the same. If it doesn't heal well then his agility will be affected more than his pace.

That's an issue, I hope he recovers fully! Mine hasn't healed and 12 mnths later it's still constanly bruised and gives pain.

He'll be looked after and will make a good recovery during the off season.

Heres hoping he makes a speedy recovery.

Im not sure if its a torn achilles cos if it was he would of been in agony unable to walk and would of needed to be stretchered off and defo wouldn't of been able to walk around after the game even in a moon boot

Anyone who hasn't seen the other thread, look at 6.48 in the game. Graham stands on his heel. I have no doubt it caused the injury.

Could be a broken bone in his ankle which is better than a torn achilles and would mean he could play in the World Club Challenge.

You can walk slowly, no need to be stretched off as once it snapped you can't really do anymore damage. I walked round the pitch for 5 min in agony and mine was complete tear.

Looked like an achiles injury to me the way he walked off.

Cruel blow for Pat hope he bounces back. It's great we won though that would have been hard to take losing a grand final and picking up that injury at the same time.
