No they haven't. There's lots of different beaches in Florida, all of which fall under different county jurisdictions. Most, granted to vote late April to reopen. Most only fully reopened Mid May, [isome late June[/i. Coinciding with the idiot in the White House's actions everyone flocked to the beaches, nobody is social distancing (despite ongoing restrictions/policies in place) and symptoms start increasing exponentially. Here we are in mid June and numbers have rocketed.
BTW i look at various news sources for balance, not BBC. I suggest you do the same.'"
Some only opened late June? We are only half way through June. Did you even read the link you posted? It clearly shows that the majority of the beaches have been open 6-8 weeks (nearly 2 months), whilst some never even closed. The county with the beaches that were closed the longest (Miami Dade) has by far the highest Covid 19 infections in Florida, but you keep believing that its the people on beaches causing the spread. You look back at the stats and it clearly shows that there was no spike coinciding with the majority of beaches opening. The spike happened in the last 2 weeks, With an incubation period of up to two weeks, you would expect a spike within two weeks of the beaches opening. It never happened. Either way, the death rates among infected individuals in Florida are exceptionally low for some reason, same in Texas and California.
As for calling the guy in the White House an idiot, perhaps we could list his life achievements next to yours? You dont want to go there.... working in a muffler shop in a back street in Wigan is not really what id call an achievement.
