I dont see the problem. Escare never showed enough to suggest that he was capable of being the difference between the 2 teams when he has played for us.
If we loan a player out to let him play and show what he can do, its pointless to cut his game time down when its already quite short.

There is a chance that they wouldn't have bothered which would have meant no Bevan French,its swings and roundabouts and I'd rather have French

The club think he isnt good enough, so having him play against us weakens the opposition in the view of KR and AL.

Thats the impression I get, this isn't about giving him game time its about trying to move him on in my opinion at least.

I’d agree and I think we’ve been trying to get Escare and Sammut to say they want to move by freezing them out a little. It’s fair enough, these things happen but they’ve both been under used IMO based on just what we’re trying to achieve this year.

I think Wakey will keep Escare tbh. Chester said how impressed they’ve been with him and how they’re looking to shuffle their squad.

I've been disappointed for a while with the Escare thing, but it's not a simple situation.

I thought he was a great buy at the time. But in due course, for whatever reason, his on-field effectiveness appeared to fade and he became more of a liability. Then, Lam decided that he wasn't part of the 'fightback plan' - and let's face it, he hasn't been missed.

The acquisition of French clearly marked the end of the 'Escare at Wigan' era and I doubt anyone will have a problem with that, except that they may rue what might have been had Morgan knuckled down.

I had no doubt that he'd give us a game yesterday. Many other players we've released - including worse players than him - have made a point of playing better against Wigan on their first game back than they ever played for us (the irony shooting over their head, of course). Whether that means it was a mistake to let Morgan play for Wakey yesterday, I don't know. It could have been costly, yes. But defeat would mainly have been down to our messy, unmotivated performance.

Sadly, any favour with Wakefield that this gesture may have been designed to curry may now have been lost thanks to Chris Chester taking a leaf from the Eamon McManus book of How to Lose Friends and Fail to Influence People by blaming everyone but himself for his team's failure.
