Quote ="NickyKiss"I bagged the team hugely at Widnes in our last away game for how scrappy it was and we were our own worst enemies in making it that way but today the blame was firmly at the door of the ref. The HKR fans did a job on him first five mins and he wilted. To be in the draw is all we could hope for in that sort of atmosphere and with a ref as weak as that.
As for the draw, it’s good for us. You won’t see players at 50% like we’ve seen in lesser games recently and regardless of the outcome, it’ll be far more enjoyable then some of the recent games. We’ll need to be good but so will Warrington.
Next week sets it up nicely.'"
Agreed. A frustrating and at times baffling performance from the ref today. Not sure how just before the break Bateman got a yellow, Tickle got a red but the penalty went to Hull KR. The ref ruined the game as neither team could get any flow to the game. Credit to KR as their injury hit team played well and the game was only safe for us right at the end. Glad to be in the next round.
The quarter final should be a great game as games between us and Warrington usually are, the players will both be going full tilt at it particularly as one team is likely to have a recent defeat to avenge as well. I think Leeds will be happiest with the draw though with two of us, Wire, Saints and Hull set to go out while they play Leigh.
