| Quote ="Dave K."Think you are being a bit harsh, we weren't great but a lot of that was down to your intensity in attack and defence. Very clinical in attack and aggressive in defence, you played the ball so much quicker than us.
Thought your forwards bullied ours (which hasn't happened much this year) and you had too much speed and skill out wide.
Gelling was great and your halfs intelligent as they played in wide early to identify our weakness out wide.
I seem some if your away performances thus year and you have been really poor, unfortunately last night wasn't one if them.'"
That seems a fair assessment, it definitely was one of our better away performances this year.
Just out of interest, why wasn't Shaul playing at fullback for you last night? I thought he was pretty impressive whenever I saw him last year.

| Whilst it wasn't a complete perfect performance, I was very, very happy on the way home from Hull last night. Without doubt, it's a step in the right direction regarding our performances on the road in 2015. Hull have made the second most metres in the league this year and I think our pack finally stood up away from home and gave us the intensity in defence we've been missing. Attacking wise I thought we were more clinical, and some decent moves in there as well, such as Bowen's first. And I still cannot believe the amount of criticism George Williams receives from some. He's 20 years old, playing in a pivotal position in a team chasing trophies, I think he doesn't deserve half the stuff he gets thrown at him. Think him and Smith are forming a solid partnership now.
Yes, I know it's only one game, and I'm not getting carried away as I know how we've been away from home all year, but is it just me that wouldn't be surprised to suddenly see us turn it on away from home in the Super 8's? Still think we're a year or two short from a great team.

| Agreed. Williams is fine, and Smith has looked a lot more like his old self in the last couple of matches.
Discipline, though; there's plenty of room for improvement there. I kept thinking how a better side than Hull would punish us for all those penalties we conceded, many of them quite needlessly.

| I thought Hampshire at least deserved a bench spot last night after his performance v Widnes.
Onto the game itself, Wigan played well and at a high tempo, credit to the referee, against a Hull team that was poor on the night. However, you can only play what's in front of you. A few poor (forward) passes let us down a little but the rugby was entertaining at least. Win the home games and a minimum top 4 place is assured.

| Just on Powell's try: I've watched it umpteen times now, and listened to commentary on Sky and the Beeb, but surely he was a mile offside. Cummins came out with some guff about the first kick being "a kick into space" (whatever that means), but, at the end of the day, he was in front of the kicker at the first kick. Surely, notwithstanding that there was a second kick, he can't be played onside. Can he? I was amazed when the VR passed it.
What did you guys think?

Daft rule - should have been disallowed.
