Sure do. I'm heading back to Sydney in March to catch a few games and fully intend on calling into the Brewhouse. Fantastic night in there it was!

That was the match that turned Aussies heads because of the size of the crowd and the NRL had to admit there is a desire amongst Aussie fans for the WCC and they must have been taken aback by the Wigan support. I didn't go but the 31000 must have changed things as I believe that it was that which has brought this year's three match series.
Contrast that Wigan support last year to when we went to Brisbane in 1994, I'm sure there was only a couple of hundred of us that travelled.

While I don't disagree with any of that, the head-turning that last year may have caused isn't being backed-up with this year's competition. Too many fans are viewing it as a nothing friendly rather than a proof-of-concept game that could possibly lead to further expansion of the World Club format. Tickets should have been flying out the door for this and fans should be viewing it as a mustn't miss game. As it is they're being flogged on Groupon for half price and there's probably going to be about 15k there. There seems to be a growing apathy amongst Wigan fans that has been growing since the end of 2012. I thought 12500 for the first home game of this season was pretty woeful tbh.

Well I was missing for the first game due to a previous commitment made before the fixtures came out but I and my son will be there for the Brisbane game. As soon as I mentioned it my son could not get a ticket fast enough. He is travelling from Aberystwyth to attend the match and the idea of seeing an NRL side play Wigan really caught his imagination.

Games like this don't come around very often and if there is apathy I am surprised. Even those who are not regular week-in, week-out supporters but who pick and choose games, I'd be surprised if they were going to miss this one.
