Commenting about the launch date Commercial Director Geoff Warburton explained:
"We only received confirmation on a number of shirt sponsors relatively late and because of previous fan feedback we took the decision to only press ahead with shirt production once all sponsors had been confirmed. This meant we could ensure all sponsors logos could be sublimated into the design rather than leaving gaps and applying patches at a later date.
"We appreciate this has pushed the on-sale date closer to Christmas than we would have liked, but took this important decision to ensure that the garment quality is as high as it could possibly be. I would specifically like to thank Erreà for their commitment to producing a vast number of shirts in such a short space of time."'"
