I paid for two West Stand Gold season ticket renewals a couple of weeks ago costing me £264 per season ticket. Out of curiosity, I looked on the season tickets webpage to see how much I have saved from paying for my renewal. I didn't log in to the ticketing hub, I was simply looking at it from a 'new season ticket' point of view.. I selected seats, again in West Stand Gold.

The price came at £264 per season ticket????

How exactly have I saved anything from being an existing season ticket holder and renewing early/early bird discount???

Is there an error and they've only been charging new holders the renewal price? Or is there no saving?

The non renew/rejoin early bird price is £281.

I know it is, or at least it's supposed to be, but I went on the online ticket sales and selected a West stand gold seat and it came up at £264, the same price as I've paid for renewal. I wasn't signed in or anything, this was as me portraying to be a new customer as I was curious about the price.

Unless there is a genuine cockup that no one has realised yet, my best guess would be it gives you the renewal price as standard until you sign in. If you sign in and you are eligibile for the renew/rejoin price it stays the same, if not you get the new season ticket holder price. Though it seems a daft way to do it if it is that. It would need someone who shouldn't qualify for the cheaper price to check if this is the case.
