Like you I don't know the bloke. I'm guessing that he has a fair degree of personal charm and charisma. Because how else does he keep getting job offers? By my reckoning he has worked for Salford/Fev/Wigan and London within the past 12 months.
I do find it strange that with his track record that clubs think he could be even remotely considered to be a positive role model. I was staggered that Wigan offered him a job. As I say, the bloke must have something positive going for him. And therefore, my guess is that he won't ever need to join the 'rat race'.
