This is my first full Season as a Warriors fan, I was previously a football fan (a game of who can cheat the best, or who can be the biggest pansy) but thanks to a spare ticket to a home game last year to Catalans from my brother in law I was brought into Rugby League. After that first game I got a season ticket as soon as was possible for this season and have loved every game.
As a football fan coming into the world of rugby I was taken aback by how friendly all the fans were, the fact that I could walk to the game with away fans without anyone kicking off or generally being a complete tool amazed me, even more so when drinking before Wembley in the Green Man with loads of Hull Fans, this would have definitely resulted in a riot in footy.
The start of the season was great where we dominated and the latter half was full of 'injuries' and resting players to ensure we had a good cup run, and a win, and hopefully will help us in the playoffs. I love going to the games and cant wait for the game on Thursday for my first taste of a proper away day, minus Wembley. Regardless of what happens in the playoffs I will be clumping what very little money I have together to sort out my season ticket for next year.
So I suppose this is a thanks to everyone involved in Rugby League and all the fans for making this sport brilliant for a first time viewer so much so that I have dropped football all together for the super league and am looking forward to watching for many a year to come...even when I emigrate to Oz in a few years.
