Well, first things first. I am a Wigan fan, and have been a season ticket holder for 20 years, and I don't need anyone to represent me, give me a sense of belonging, etc, etc, etc.
Even though you state that it is not the sole responsibility of the "Brigantes", whatever they may be, to create an atmosphere, you do intimate that this group are the only ones actually creating any atmosphere that is present.
Any chance you can tell me who has been creating atmosphere at Wigan games for the last 30 years?
By the way, if the Brigantes are the gang of 12 year olds with a drum in the South Stand, please tell them to shut up, as they aren't helping.

With regard to your comment of 'Any chance you can tell me who has been creating atmosphere at Wigan games for the last 30 years?'
Obviously I can't give you names and addresses, but I presume that the fans you refer to have been creating an atmosphere by making noise rather than standing/sitting in silence - which seems to me is just what the Brigantes are encouraging everyone to do.
As far as I'm aware, from the appearance of the people you are talking about, I would take a stab at them not all being a 'bunch of 12 year olds'. But you could be right - there some bl**dy big 12 year olds knocking about these days.
You also appear to want me to tell fans who sing to shut up. I'm sorry but I won't be able to help you there. If you want them to be quiet - I suggest that you do that yourself at the next home match.
I see you also think that the Brigantes 'aren't helping'. In what way are fans who sing not helping? Not helping with what? Putting the players off with all that noise?
And thanks for letting the fans who sing know that you don't want them to represent you. I'm sure it will be duly noted by all concerned and a real weight off their shoulders.
