The disallowed Quins tries had me confused too. I was about 5 rows behind Bilko and his hareem and saw exactly what happened - Wigan player punched the ball out forward just as quins player was about to plonk it down - fabulous try-saving defence. Quins player picks ball up about 2 yards from the line and goes over. Ref asks in-goal official (who was almost on top of the action) and then goes to touch judge for his view from long-range.

I have no idea with the Purdham disallowed try - it looked fine to me from right behind where he plonked the ball down. But it was interesting that the Quins players didnt protest at all, so maybe there was an infringement in the build-up.

And as for giving Finch a talking to when a Quins player deflected (ok, punched) the ball away to stop a quick 20m restart - that was just comical!

I thought that would make most sense but a twenty tap restart could only be a knock on in the in goal?
