Every single year, the match missed because of the WCC is played the week before the league starts, why not this time?
We even had a week break between our last friendly and the start of the season!

sky and the rfl can big it up as much as they want, this year was a load of tripe. I am a fan of the concept but keep it in May.

It wouldn't take a genius to give the champoins their millenium magic game against the team they are scheduled to play in the league on the WCC weekend. Fans did not appear in their droves when the derby games were introduce for the magic weekend. As a concept you go for the weekend not for the opposition you play

So if we'd played Castleford in Cardiff, presumably Saints would've been left to play Wakefield...
