The worst refereeing "mistake" against Leeds in the CC, though, was by the VR ( the one currently on bail) when he failed to give the Lee Smith knock on from the high kick, even though Bentham mentioned that to him. Instead of a Wigan scrum 10 metres from the Leeds line it was a handover. Leeds then got a penalty to take them upfield and then Coley was harshly judged to have barged late into a Leeds player which resulted in a kickable penalty - none of this would have happened if Ganson hadn't made a howler!
Same as in the Saints game, it was the VR who awarded 2 dubious Saints tries and the touchjudge who judged Carmont had impeded the Saints player while Carmont was playing the ball. Another game changing moment and harsh/wrong decision which led to 2 Saints tries in the following 5 minutes!
None of these were Bentham's fault - failing to punish Peacock/Senior harshly was.

How many more times will Ganson be arrested before he gets the boot? This guy may be 'the best ref in RL' at the moment, but I can't see him keeping his job for long. Russell Smith and Karl Kirkpatrick and even Ashley Klein could do a better job without the need to make their own headlines.
