Quote ="Bilko"I wasn't using the stats to big up Wigan or belittle Leeds, I was simply showing that over the years away wins have generally been hard to come by for all teams. Yes Leeds have had a golden generation but they have always done it from 1st or 2nd with that all important week off earned. It'll be interesting this year to see if they can win a fourth title going away and possibly without a week off. You may well get 2nd yet though. Leeds are also probably not going to have the luxury of having no pressure in Round 25, 26, 27 which they have had in the past three years being so clear inside the top 2 with Saints.'"
Oh I wasn't being defensive, despite what it may have sounded like!
FWIW, I don't think Leeds will win 4 in a row - not because of how they started the season, or what has happened since, but because I just think after the record breaking 3 in a row, I'm not convinced the desire is there for a 4th....obviously I hope I am wrong, and in recent weeks the side certainly seem to be looking at turning it around....
But as you allude to...the irony of all this is that Leeds' shocking start and subsequent averageness could see us enter the playoffs with absolutely no pressure on us at all. I would be very interested to see if anyone picks us with the club choice fixture jobby.
